throw383y8··on Turning psychiatric labels into identities
Priviliges?

Mental illness is quite common. Imagine you could not label people as "creepy" or "invel", because they are most likely on some sort of spectrum. With mental illness they would be protected group. If it's personality trait, they are just creepy loosers.

throw383y8··on Possible association between tattoos and lymphoma
No, I believe cancer from hair dyes was caused by touching dye during application. Poisons are volatile, dye is only toxic, while it is drying.

Tattoo pigment particles are quite inert.

throw383y8··on Twitter is now attention roulette and ultimately meaningless
I like fact checking (Community Notes) on twitter. I am not that much exposed to western culture, and it is good for explaining latest fads and memes from west.

Like why someone refused to provide definition of something somewhere. It provided commentary for clawn universe.

throw383y8··on Raw milk sales spike despite CDC's warnings of risk
And CDC has equipment and personnel. They should provide free anonymous testing, like with STDs. I want to know I am safe, without risking my pet cows life!
throw383y8··on Raw milk sales spike despite CDC's warnings of risk
They could provide simple PCR tests to detect bird flu virus in milk. We produced trillions of those very recently. Those "warnings" are useless.
throw383y8··on Japan's clothes-drying bathrooms
Dehumidifier in small closed space, like bathroom, Works great. Tumble dryers are horrible for clothes.
throw383y8··on The solar industrial revolution is the biggest investment opportunity in history
BS. Solar industry is already commoditized, most solar panels are produced in China, incoming trade wars, unclear expenses about panel disposal, incoming taxation on solar energy producers..
throw383y8··on How Should We Critique Research? (2019)
Also censorship. Opposite information are suppressed as unscientific, even through they are considered common knowledge. It is why it took 30 years for science to officially recognise asbestos and smoking as dangerous!
throw383y8··on The Denmark secret: how it became the most trusting country
Greece in this case. But we had troubles even in Germany.
throw383y8··on Which Electric Cars Have Bidirectional Charging (V2L, V2G, V2H)
Charging adds TONS of cost. For start most small city cars are simply charged from wall socket. 2KW are absolutely fine to charge such small cars. You are comparing cost of power cable, with building dedicated circuits and charging station!

Second is the deprecation cost on car battery! Cycles add up quickly!

throw383y8··on Which Electric Cars Have Bidirectional Charging (V2L, V2G, V2H)
You can buy EV for a few hundreds dollars (bike), cheapest Chinese cars are around $2k, European minis start at 10k EUR.

EVs are actually very cheap as basic city car, but you have to leave out extra features like long range, bidicharging, heating...

Zero emissions means much smaller car, not some monstrosity like 3 tons SUV ls for personal transport.

throw383y8··on Shipbreaking
Well, West should stop dumping their garbage to the rest of the world.

It is easy to have strict environmental regulations, if they are not enforced, and negative externalities are exported.

throw383y8··on Paying freelancers in equity and dividends
> Today, Gumroad pays hourly freelancers around the world $125-$200/hr.

Compliance with local laws is VERY difficult. I would not take this equity even for free. It triggers all sort of accounting laws, exceptions and so on. How should I estimate the price on my tax returns? What if I am on some sort of sanction list?

Cash is the king when it comes to freelancers.
