thirtyfivecent··on Ask HN: I’m 41 and still unmarried – what should I do?
His own hand or 5 dollars worth of silicon can create that "unique" pleasant sensation. You need to provide a better argument than that for me to talk to you about this. A man is exausted and jaded for days after sex, prolactin release, the refractory period etc. Its natures way to limit an alphas ability to spread his seed in the population. Sexual energy and Semen Retention can transform a man totally if he has the discipline not to release it for a couple of seconds of pleasure. He can still have sex once he has become grounded in the practice and his brain has undergone changes which usually takes 6-12 months, then he just has to avoid orgasms to keep the benefits.

thirtyfivecent··on Video shows self-driving Tesla head into oncoming traffic
The arrogant way in which you are speaking just indicates to us you are being dishonest and you are discussing this in bad faith. Perhaps you are a paid employee of Tesla.
thirtyfivecent··on Supreme Court limits EPA’s power to cut emissions
The average HN Bozo? lol. America is turning into Weimar. People here are good at pattern recognition and logic. We recognise whats going on and switch to the right. Go figure.
thirtyfivecent··on ‘The Socratic Method’ Review: Let Us Reason Together
Did someone try to talk to you about semen retention or something like this?
thirtyfivecent··on One centimeter long bacterium discovered
The imprisonment and terrorization of thousands of innocent civilians just because of their skin color and race... please dont go along with the attempt at calling these things just "internment camps"
thirtyfivecent··on As weed gets more potent, teens are getting sick
Count yourself extremely lucky if you know for certain it was caused by NSAIDs. Thats easy to fix compared to a bacterial infection. I have done a two week water fast to let ulcers in my stomach/gut heal in the past with great success.

People claim these systems dont shut down as you are still digesting body fat, but they for the most part do shut down and somewhere in doing that they heal very quickly. I have done it a few times (for NSAIDs and other pain killers having done damage to gut and stomach and when i get glutened giving me ulcers in my gut).

A benefit is that things like food dont rub against the ulcers which are basically like little cuts and that helps too heal too during the fast. You can go on having pain for months or years trying to deal with them in another way. Remember to dose some losalt for potassium and sodium ( your electrolytes ) while you fast to limit the dizzyness and fatigue. Im not sure magnesium powder would be a good idea due to it being tough on the stomach normally... it would stop the muscle cramps you will get... but it might stop the whole thing working ... i never used it while healing ulcers and lining damage .... but i have more recently when fasting to lose weight and it does make it easier .. magnesium tablets or capsules would be a terrible idea though those are really tough on the stomach and have a lot of added ingredients in the fillers and capsule depending on the company. Smaller fasts would also help. Good luck.

thirtyfivecent··on Ask HN: How does HN manage to be always online?
They do that so you're screwed later on without them when that first bit of money starts to run out and boom they own your company

thirtyfivecent··on “Google” programmers. How one idiot hired a couple more idiots
This is only true if you're a beta bucks provider doing CRUD to support a family. There are plenty of real programmers out there working on their own projects and the hard part in these WORTHWHILE projects is certainly the programming :)
thirtyfivecent··on Playstation confirms chain of 5 vulnerabilities on PS4/PS5
Sony are seeding their online community with toxicity. If you have a PSN account look at the available avatars you can use.

1 in 5 have different variations of devils horns on the characters heads. 3 in 5 look like they've been cropped from communist murals around my city. Almost all of the characters look angry and criminal.

Browse these avatars and in your mind compare them to Nintendos. The vast majority of users are interacting with each other and seeing these creepy avatars as they're friends virtual faces. What effect is this having on young kids?

thirtyfivecent··on “I think the vast majority of developers still debug using print() statements”
Totally agree. Print statements are windows to the programs internal state. They can be activated during specific times, under certain conditions, can group together information and values.... The name "print statement" does not do them justice , that is the problem i think, they are a conduit, a channel of symbols for peeking into the program
thirtyfivecent··on Coffee drinking linked to lower mortality risk, new study finds
Not true at all. For every 1 year you can expect 1 month extra to recover fully. Every drug withdrawal group has some variation of this with different figures. An example a guy who watches porn for 2 weeks will have a much shorter reboot than one who watched porn for 24 years. That second guy will go through 2 years of PAWS and has destroyed his hormonal system. Moving away from stimulations to stimulants, Coffee stops blood flowing through specific areas of the brain and increases it flowing through other areas thats why your experience of life changes while on coffee., this is even worse, its a physical drug , but it has also destroyed other types of glands like the adrenals. You are very naive and foolisj to think you can pay back the years of being buzzed up and not experience a depression for a long long time afterwards. You have to repay it all. Its the same for most drugs, weed affects the blood flow through other areas of the brain and long term this can cause irreversable damage.
thirtyfivecent··on Coffee drinking linked to lower mortality risk, new study finds
3 of the top 5 posts of all time on that subreddit as an example are speaking in terms of "915 days caffiene free", "2.5 years caffee free" .. etc. These are the most dramatic and interesting stories shared there but the people there are obviously interested in long term case studies and these stories are popular for a reason. Nobody cares about "2 weeks" there everyone quickly realises this is a long slog to getting back to normal of months and years.
thirtyfivecent··on Italy Is Held Back by 2.6M People Who Have Given Up on Work
Given up on work? A lot of these people are barred from work. Its just demonisation of the group who refused to kneel and take those mandatory and sloppy injections. Mega corps and governments want to play God.
thirtyfivecent··on Coffee drinking linked to lower mortality risk, new study finds
Habit forming? This is obviously a physical dependence like any other drug. There are thousands of case reports on /r/decaf outlining a recovery period of months and years with horrible side effects like anhedonia, panic attacks, sleep issues, brain fog, cramping. The hardest day is day 2?? You honestly believe that is sufficient payback for the years of being buzzed up and artificially interested in boring and pointless office work by drinking this poison?
