I have the same question about testing. All the public sites around me closed and it seems like nothing was learned.
I didn't realize this wasn't being done everywhere.
The amount of permits, fees, plans and various payoffs that need to be made for a flight to even cross through middle eastern borders is daunting. This doesn't seem like an imaginary rambo mission for that reason.
There are a lot of questions, but I wonder why they thought it necessary to drag weapons along. Anyone who has ever been involved in a civilian flight over there would have told you how dumb that is.
Couldn't they have just bought a few RPGs and AKs down at the local bazaar like everyone else? They probably could have picked up a few ARs too, right?
What made blading lame is having to carry around a pair of shoes if you want to go anywhere. Otherwise you're like the guy clicking around the coffee shop in your clip in bike shoes and tights.
I have a nice little slice of turf, love it. only downside, it heats up under direct sun.
I wouldn't live there, unless there was a nice fat discount.
Is tearing the thing down an option? I haven't seen it discussed anywhere.
Considering the whole IPv4 extinction that's coming down and all.
It's like hiring a plane to fly over your house repeatedly to tell you whether or not it's on fire. There has to be a better way.

Read the article and the complaint and it's the FBI grooming another useful idiot while patting themselves on the back. I'm just picturing this kid with his hand drawn crayon maps of the AWS buildings and talking bout "70% of the internet" and "oligarchy". Funny but sad.
"Vercel doesn’t replicate Functions across their Network in Free and Pro accounts - Functions can be deployed to one particular region only. Enterprise plan users can specify multiple regions for Serverless Functions."
I wonder how this changes incentives for most people. In the valley of bottomless snacks and drinks, bottomless PTO, bottomless stock options, how does bottomless pay work on the mental?
What if I want to work a 3 day week?
A quick look at the doordash careers page shows they're targeting a future of hikikomori that order from restaurants they've never been to and buy from convenience stores that don't actually allow customers in.
Then my tweets would get liked and followed. 95% of that was just bots.
Every now and then I would unfollow a real person and my account, which was clearly a bot, would get some hate mail telling me to re-follow them.
It was pretty surreal.
There will be plenty of softer targets meal team six will be going after first, with plenty of fighting to keep them distracted.
I'm picturing Bill running the old embrace, extend, and extinguish model until they all just kill each other or die of hunger/radiation/lead poisoning.
If they haven't...
The official narrative has always been that if the masses found out about ET visiting us they would lose their shit. I don't think much would change even if this is how they found out.
Its not like suddenly learning there are aliens means they don't have to go to work tomorrow.
oh snap, its actually burning man. close enough.
Wealthy companies aren't great either. They're doing the cancelling.
Who needs physical enforcement when you can get people fired or threaten their livelihood?
Take a look at Mark Crispin Miller. This chap is feeling the mob heat right now.

I haven't looked at the google patent listings before. What are the 'Similar Documents' at the bottom about? Black Twitter? https://patents.google.com/scholar/10521028305159378504
This reminds me of the tone-deaf ads that we got bombarded with by celebrities telling us to stay home while their hot tub bubbled behind them.
Local news.
Twitter is too noisy, nextdoor has too many busybodies.
Unless people stopped dragging their phones around, the information is already there.
Dumb question here, but why isn't this being used for the thing, contact tracing, that everyone claims is what we need to stop the spread?
But the idea of unionizing is quaint for a company that has become so many things (manufacturing, logistics, infrastructure, marketplace).
They suggest that somehow the new administration will be friendlier to unionizing, as if that was the blocker.
It doesn't take a PR genius to see what the Amazon narrative will be when people can't get their boxes of shit because of a strike. And thats just from warehouses. Extend that to AWS and Whole Foods and it'll be hard to maintain any sympathy.
Amazon was already getting their tentacles on everything before covid, and now its just amplified. I'd love to see this be the motivator that encourages people to rise up against their overlords, but it's going to end up like the people that protest by blocking freeways. It just pisses off the people trying to go about their lives, and works against the cause.
