For some people LLM-spotting feels like a sport they need to compete in
tester756··on America's Driver's License Breach Is a National Security Disaster
Or maybe something bigger should change

like why your driver license or even id should enable someone to do damage to your life?

especially that it isnt difficult to lose it and even needs to be shared with someone (e.g hotel)?

Consistent ecosystem with state of the art tooling (Visual Studio)

Majority of things provided from MS instead of having to rely on 3rd party, especially nowadays when supply-chain issues are huge concern

I'm talking about searching via LLM, not about experience of using Google.

>A BBS chatbot from the 80s (LISA) was almost as good as modern LLMs and that was just based on key words.

Of course, because it's not like whole world went crazy after ChatGPT and hundreds of billions of dollars are being constantly invested into many of technology stacks - software, hardware, semiconductor engineering in order to push this technology even further, lol.

>Almonds provide a real utility for humans: food.

Let's do not act as if there wasnt other food, a lot of it actually.

Meanwhile LLMs aren't that easy to replace, they're biggest human achievement up to date.

Holy shit, so much precious water used just for almond?

tester756··on Study links GLP-1 drugs to bigger jump in women's employment than a degree
Why take drugs when you can take home-delivery diet?

This is genuine question, I've started using them and they're one of the best things I've ever paid for.

You get good food, at calculated sizes/calories/etc etc, you don't have to do shopping, cooking, cleaning, etc.

It is insanely convenient and you can manage your weight easily without even any exercises (but they're still recommended tho)

tester756··on Ask HN: Any tips for a college freshman enrolled in computer science?
Not anymore, during covid many things changed, many people moved on with their lives and other people prefer to argue about interviews and market instead of hard tech
tester756··on Ask HN: Any tips for a college freshman enrolled in computer science?
During last years quality of discussions went down, but still I disagree

on programming forums (actual forums, not reddit/hn like) we've had very experienced people like

1) world class / top CTF competitors

2) nasa/esa

3) HFT @ hong kong

4) people with experience across FAANGs

Those can give you many very valuable advices that your average college friend or coworker will not be even close to be aware of.

> People who aren't successful tend to spend their time complaining online whereas you rarely hear stories of normal people success online.

That's true, that's why you need to filter out bullshit.

https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/issues

Yea, sure, but there's waay more than Linux or Chromium

tester756··on Claude Is Not a Compiler
