My gut says always: most of the times turn-key stuff has weaknesses and good libs with perfect apis, well maintained and with a great community are rare but they are there of course.
Hard question since what the gut says is more fun while the alternative is just about gluing libs together. But using libs and once they don't fulfill your needs build yourself is the right but more boring way to go.
Nowadays, I tend to miss real Thunderbolt 3 ports on USB-C, better 2 than 1 and with 4 lanes. This is what they totally forgot. So I could connect to an ancient VGA projector but not to a common 2x 4k@60hz display setup? This doesn't make sense.

Stopped reading there.
Native devs don’t like RN because the mobile dev supply gets bigger which hurts their market value. That’s the real reason of your post, spreading FUD.
RN has its limitations but for 80% of apps it’s absolutely fine.
Then also a lot webpack, Docker: wondering if they would get the Pi stuttering when compiling/building? And if vim is still smooth then (which isn't the case with my 20$ vps).
I develop remotely on VPSes because I like to have an always-on box reachable from any client. I am wondering if a RP4 offers a similar experience at lower cost.
Does anyone use a RP for this?
Re choppy scrolling, I have a Windows precision touchpad on my notebook and it's super close to a MBP but what is even much better than a MBP touchpad: get a Logitech mouse with a free wheel eg the G502, best scrolling experience and buttersmooth.
I thought also there is nothing else than macOS but there is even more good stuff outside. eg window management on Windows or linux eg with i3 there is just 100x better. on macos it's a joke to nonexistent.
With Apple, people keep on complaining OVER years. The touchbar, the prices, the crappy keyboards... the reason? IDK, maybe they are locked-in and can't move to another platform but there is only one single reason to be locked-in on macOS: if you develop apps for iOS, otherwise every other platform is currently way better and switching is a matter of days. Once I had the keyboard trouble on a $4K MBP I switched instantly and never returned to macOS.
However, I wonder if these website builders are a fallacy. If you make money with your business get a team building your custom site, if not just put your opening times right on Google Business without having a website. A half-baken website also done with a builder is still work and if nobody drives by, why the hassle?
And most builders I know still have subpar mobile responsiveness. How is Milkshake in this regard? Are there any examples?
I like Termius, it's by far the best ssh client on iOS. I just wonder if this syncing is really a crucial feature.
I have one main remote dev server which is the gateway to all other remote servers. I use most of the time the main server and haven't had the need to sync anything. Installing keys on ssh clients is indeed a bit tedious but you do it only once.
Or do I miss anything?

Just downrank medium.com. This is the actual problem with Medium.
The content on medium is ok but does rarely match the search ranking it has.
What would motivate you to go every day rather to an office instead of working remotely?
Give me your top 3 wishes, eg. the new Mac Pro with 2x Apple 6k displays as your personal workstation.
