tayo42··on AI content is everywhere on social media, especially LinkedIn
At least 5-10 years. Like my whole career.

The llms usually remind me of how corporate people talk

tayo42··on AI content is everywhere on social media, especially LinkedIn
Where are you all successfully looking for jobs? Indeed was even worse then LinkedIn.

Though LinkedIn really pissed me off a few weeks ago when it popped up something saying I shouldn't apply for a job because it doesn't match my profile well.

That's a corporate phrase that predates the current llm stuff along with things like ping, circle back, table that
tayo42··on I think I have LLM burnout
I don't think a career switch is really as simple as go do anything you want.you need a skill, and need to go through the entry level pipeline again. You also need too find it interesting like the other commenter mentioned. Otherwise you do just end up as a cashier or something unskilled.
tayo42··on I think I have LLM burnout
Leave programing for what though?
tayo42··on A software engineering interview question I like: computing the median
Id screw this up assuming that sort and pick the middle is to obvious and do something dumb lol
tayo42··on Suspecting AI cheating, Ivy League prof ordered in-person final; scores fell 50%
>so that there is dignity in the degree again.

How far back do you need to go to get to a time when degrees mattered?

tayo42··on Microsoft fire idTech team at Id software
Do they make good games though? Idk if game dev is like corporate software where it's already uncreative crap no one really is thrilled about.
tayo42··on Microsoft fire idTech team at Id software
I'm confused, do people want endless sequels or not?
tayo42··on Resetting Xbox
This attitude seemed prevelant at Blizzard too based on a book I read (Play Nice)they wouldn't fund anything that wasn't a billionaire dollar idea.

Never ending growth and profits just seem to ruin everything

tayo42··on It's not about physical vs. digital games, it's about ownership
Hmm I see, that's interesting. Seems like the games industry it self is in a pretty bad state despite that
tayo42··on It's not about physical vs. digital games, it's about ownership
Is there really a rise in PC gaming going on? Isn't that dependent on people having PCs and hardware?
tayo42··on The great blogging collapse: What happened to 100 successful blogs?
>Ranking number one no longer even guarantees you're the source the AI quotes.

I noticed Google's AI summary seems to link to seemingly obscure videos occasionally.

It Will be interesting to see what happens to YouTube once AI turns it All to text and indexes it. Efficiently viewing YouTube must be at odds with how they want you to keep watching

tayo42··on Maybe you should learn something
The idea overall is fine. Do adults have success learning art? Like actually getting good at it? I've been kind of overwhelmed by how much time is expected of students to learn art to get good. Like its treated like a full time job? I see people online casually throw out spending 8-10 hours a day on things.
tayo42··on US residents angry datacenters 'shoved down our throats' are recalling officials
I get that, I mean who are the investors? Random colo companies? Are The big cloud providers are bringing up new small regions in all of these random towns? Only so many companies can even get the hardware to fill it. And there are only a handful llm providers.

There's only so many companies involved as far as I can tell, but these datacenter stories seem everywhere?

tayo42··on US residents angry datacenters 'shoved down our throats' are recalling officials
What's driving the need for datacenters All over the world?

Aren't there only a handful of companies need compute and can build datacenters? This isn't aws building more regions is it?

Also recently I was surprised and not surprised to find people are making anti ai like their identity now. Like there's a reddit community dedicated to this

tayo42··on [dead]
I'll just throw it out there, but I'm also interested in donations. If anyone's feeling generous, get in touch!
tayo42··on No LLM Code in Dependencies
Write assembly to do the syscall instruction with whatever params you need.
tayo42··on Bring back crappy forums
This is how I used Reddit lol. Plus only through the old web UI.
tayo42··on What to learn to be a graphics programmer
That sounds nice, but we need to make money and there aren't alot of opportunities. I'd love to get away from web and infra nonsense but,in The right domain id even do it for a pay cut. Hobby work won't get you a job
tayo42··on What to Learn to Be a Graphics Programmer
Is this a viable field for employment?or did it collapse like alot of other digital art?
tayo42··on Ask HN: Who is hiring? (July 2026)
You don't have a job filter for US remote btw.
tayo42··on Godot will no longer accept AI-authored code contributions
Still, your not even entitled to a discussion though.
tayo42··on Godot will no longer accept AI-authored code contributions
Why is a policy necessary. you were never entitled to have your pr merged in the first place? If pr wasn't reviewable pre AI I'd expect it to be closed or ignored too
tayo42··on I used Claude Code to get a second opinion on my MRI
Who's doing llm seo right now? How does that work when you only gets feedback every few months when a new model is out?
tayo42··on What Ozempic does to the gut-brain axis
You can pick better activities for exercise. You don't have to run on a treadmill
tayo42··on What Ozempic does to the gut-brain axis
Don't they age your face pretty badly?
tayo42··on The case for physical media ownership
Is that how things work at valve? I thought employees do whatever they want and there's minimal structure.
tayo42··on The best thing that has ever happened for multiplayer games
Ai probably didn't contribute to writing this, i think the article has that going for it lol
tayo42··on The 'papers, please' era of the internet will decimate your privacy
I think some will just limit the books you can take out at a time if you don't have proof.
