I’m sure you mean well but you’ve liberally modified paretos principle. In general it is a macro indicator of outcome not effort! Something like 80% sales come from 20% of customers.
I love finding ways to talk about the world with my son, when i travel for work i get a small souvenir just so i have a physical object we can talk about from the place i’ve just been. Regarding your comment and after watching the London video it reminded me of our first trip as a family to London. We took electric black taxis all around the different sites in central London. I hadn’t planned on doing that but we had a tough stretch on the central line so the taxi was a welcome upgrade. Anyway my son loved the taxi, it is silent, has huge windows, glass roof and you really get to see London from inside. We did day time trips and ones at night. It was so good i tried to game taxi ranks to keep getting them. I think its good for children to have a worldview which is easy with youtube today.
Artificial diamonds are amazing more perfect in clarity and colour. Though because they target a more budget market, i’d buy a 1ct artificial stone and take it to a jeweller to set in a one of a kind ring made with platinum, gold, etc. I think you’ll still have enough cash for a small car or a long holiday.
Yes, in the UK we have a similar "baseline" contract and there is such a thing as an unenforceable contract due to stricter labour laws and the potential for a contract to be unenforceable due to this.
> They’re never nicer to you then when they’re trying to hire you. If they mock your concerns about the non-compete? RUN.
This is so true, I hope if you take anything out of this its that during the initial negotiating stages is really the only time you have any authority to negotiate. It is expensive for a company to adjust contracts to you however it's also expensive for you to defend yourself against them so don't be shy and when negotiating and everything has a value. So, for example, you could say the non-compete clause is inconvenient and restrictive as a result, you want an extra $20,000/ year (i.e if you get 3-4 years that is 60k) to cover potentially being unemployable for 18 months. Apply a monetary value to all of these irritating inconveniences. You only live once no point being enslaved by a contract.
My two cents many people can't think individually any more. Tech has become complex some people can only justify a decision based on what other people did. Honestly the solution is a combination of the scientific method, hacker mindset and being prepared to RTFM. No tech content is worth its character count it is just one persons perspective, their biases and mistakes. However reading code is another story, that tells a story I don't think you need to write content if you code. A project on GitHub is worth more than 1000 words.
I think the popularity of Kubernetes is that it can run all kinds of workloads on a single platform not really its performance. I've been in Ops business for over a decade now, in my case every single customer has a completely different kind of application architecture and sometimes even with similar use cases (i.e like ecom app or chatbots etc). With Kubernetes the differences are largely irrelevant encapsulated nicely within the container. This means in my universe I can run all of our customers on a single architecture and the differences are nicely abstracted.
In a short period of time companies with databases of human activity will be finding new opportunities to profit off this data. Your insurance premiums, credit rating and even potential relationships will be influenced by a third party. When all you have to do is say 'Hey Siri what time is it in London, UK'.
+1 agree but exposing salt to the internet is not the problem. A simple ip whitelist ingress firewall rule on the salt master port would have helped, blocking access is also possible on this port. With cloud services it has become trivial to group server resources so that when they belong to the same group they can communicate with each other. I don’t use salt however i am not a proponent of network isolation as a form of security.
Try this https://saasstartupkit.com/ built in Golang. My company has used it for a proof of concept as it definitely is built around b2b multi-tenancy. Good starting point for us at the time.
I play overwatch (it’s hard in the beginning as you figure out maps and hero’s, and the odd toxic player). Overwatch is great for short play sessions though you are not guaranteed to finish feeling good, matchmaking and player role selection add a level of frustration. i end with Widowmaker or Reaper who on certain maps is a bit overpowered. pokemongo, legend of Zelda, breath of the wild and recently Animal Crossing. Personally I found it hard to get into Pokemongo and made it because my daily dogwalks pass through a few gyms and stops which helps and I built up a friend list. With lockdown it’s been harder to play but I’ve developed a few teams in the battle league and that’s quite fun. I don’t play everyday none of these games are addictive but they are fun for me and they all reward regular long term play. I hate casino style games (pay to progress micro transactions many of these on iPad now). Also hate games that are built around grinding.
i am happy to give a 5 star rating if all my expectations were met. That doesn’t mean my words will be flattering to the property or host. Actually i give 5 stars because it delivers on its promise but if there is feedback on the property i add it constructively. Uncomfortable beds, not safe for children are all things other people might find useful. No if all properties have 5 stars there is no value it forces us to read recent comments and be wary of properties that don’t have recent comments.
This is interesting, privacy and security work both ways. Protecting us and our data and enabling malicious actors. I have turned off Auto Downloads on Whatsapp.
It makes it easy to compare how healthy a recipe is. I often do many searches looking for the differences in recipes with lower sugar levels. Then also how this changes preparation.
To be fair if anyone is going to take on Epic its big tech. What is really needed is legislation to protect your data. This area seems ready for disruption.
