szymonmaszke··on Show HN: Framework to create linters for Python, YAML, TOML, JSON
No need for the irony if it's not your cup of tea. :( But maybe you have/know a tool for creating custom linting rules, would love to check it out and use if so! The ones I've tried (e.g. semgrep) had ability to create rules which were file agnostic, while I find it easier to work with the abstractions of specific language (e.g. Python's AST, maybe with more to come) and didn't want to redo the logic for these tools over and over.

Thank you, didn't know about it! Will take a look, might solve some of our issues.

Yeah, it should substitute it after you use the template to create your own repository (as long as it doesn't have template string within the repository name). The action is run automatically, as briefly outlined in documentation here: https://inovintell.github.io/docs-template/initialization/

If it doesn't work for you, please let us know in the issue and include the example, thank you!

Yes, it fills these out after using the template.

Currently these are predefined and change name of the package to the name of the repository, owner to github handle etc.

You can read more about it here: https://inovintell.github.io/docs-template/initialization/

Rest of the data can be adjusted in a standard manner (e.g. by adjusting README.md, pyproject.toml or others), is there anything you would like to see?

Regarding README.md - it is empty as it's easier to use and won't cluuter README.md of projects using the template, but we are likely to give a skeleton. Usage is defined on the right hand side in the linked doucmnetation.
