They probably have 6.2 just about ready, while 7 and 8 are still being cooked up. You can work on multiple releases in parallel.
We're just getting the latest training checkpoints constantly, just to edge out the other lab, while they are trying to come up with something worthy of a new major version number. It's actually worrying, since there's so much pressure to release now.
It's nothing surprising to anyone who's been to a furry convention. Every time someone tries to label "non-mainstream sexual behaviors" as something objectively wrong, alarm bells in my brain go off.
We've been too bullied in high school to get laid then, gotta catch up now.
Or, the AI is plugged into a machine because efficiency (aka the shareholders need even more profits), and it does some stupidity. And they will be deployed carelessly, because that makes money. And people will suffer.
I set the line at "people" questions. I'll ask an LLM about math, programming, or how to better take care of my flowers. But turning to an AI for the human questions, relationship advice, I don't even understand why one would do that. The machine hasn't experienced that. There is no objective truth to these questions. Asking other people these questions lets you connect and bond.
I noticed a long time ago that each personality trends towards an average of the community they interact with - which makes me even more hesitant to use LLMs outside of work. I don't want to start talking like a clanker myself. I go out of my way to interact with weird people.
Thinking back to pre-LLM days, I would have the same line with classical search engines. I would never Google for relationship advice, since it doesn't know me well enough to actually say something worthwhile.
which the government doesnt want since this will stop progress, while other countries will continue to develop LLMs
have you considered the consequences of that or are you still drunk and thinking that this is a good thing?
I was forced to go to an office, to sit in a room alone to work remotely with a team on the other side of the country.
Our manager was pushing for Claude Code, so we needed to use it a lot, our metrics were tracked.
Our sector lead forced Augment AI (absolute garbage btw, it has negative value, if a company uses it just run away) because he got enamoured by the salesperson - we also needed to use it a lot.
Someone in the C-suite decided to bet on Gemini, so we also had to use it a lot.
Then I failed my performance evaluation. I couldn't get any work done since I was too busy making my token use high across multiple tools.
I quit, found a company that rejects AI tools beyond Github Copilot, and I've never been happier. And I got a 2x raise with that move.
To name and shame, the company is Comarch. Stay away unless you're incompetent. If you're incompetent, you'll be right at home.
From author's comment:
- Each demo was 3 prompts max
- Prompts were intentionally short and simple
- Model used : Astra 6 with medium reasoning
- It uses Blender CLI + my custom tools : gta-3d-ai to build, Ariane to explore the map, and Blender CLI + gta-sa-traffic to create traffic nodes. I released all the tool here

Well, the silver lining is that the world is probably going to be fine in the end. If the governments don't actually get a grip and regain control, we'll see a revolution. I don't think Flock and Palantir is capable of stopping a large enough mass of people from overthrowing their owners.
I just hope that things end up fine in my lifetime, and that it doesn't get too violent. The most likely scenario is capitalism repeating the "fascism" endgame again, hopefully failing with less death than 80 years ago.
I don't trust anything the antichrist invests in
I think the world has gone too crazy to make any such claim. They could be decades away, they could be a year away.
Remember that it doesn't have to be necessarily better than a human, it just needs to make economical sense. A robot that fails 20% of the time but costs 0.10$/h to run beats a person for many tasks.
Why care about the long term consequences if the world is going to be over in the next 20 years.
My mental health improved significantly. I actually feel valuable at work. I feel pride in contributing to my local community. And the paycheck isn't actually worse.
I believed they were all bots until I actually interacted with such a person in real life. It's terrifying.
Everything is organised into repos, i select the directories with the context the agent needs for the task. If I want it to adjust something in my homelab, I drop it into the homelab repo. Stuff agents need to do commonly has shell scripts to speed it up.
I do however have some system prompts. I pick the prompt based on the goal, whether I want to implement something, or just web search, or just need a short one-off command to be done.
I wouldn't wish any developer to be forced to use W11 though. I'm already miserable enough at work, I just use a VM with Fedora and W11 is just a bootloader.
