Because it’s no longer about the vaccine.

I’ll die from covid or from the weather sleeping outside before I recognize a dictator.

That was unacceptable.

There’s no liability, they can mess up all they want and we just suffer for it.

I don’t use google and Twitter because the pages are fucking unusable even on a modern browser because of stuff like this.

Once you adopt that attitude “making” large corporations behave reasonably stops being something you worry about.

This. Rent (inflation) has replaced taxes.

The constitution carries more weight than you think: the highest governments in the US are the states which delegate their power to DC via the constitution. It’s a contract, and when violated the power is removed.

Today has not been a good day for freedom.

Apple sounds about as pleasant to work at as its platforms are to develop for.

If after 4 years and a lot of debt you’re still not able to sleep inside by yourself or get a girlfriend is it really worth it?

> it's weird that this even happens/is possible.

It’s not. This will happen with any chat app that is locked to a single service. Stop using those.

WhatsApp used to be one of those and it changed. With the exception of matrix there’s nothing to stop the same thing from happening with the others.

I hope they’re not confusing the resin symbols with the recycling symbol.

I’d pay for a community maintained palm pilot with a dot matrix or e-ink display that had similar battery life and an open source palm OS.

Oh hell no I’m not installing a GPS tracker in my car.

I love Virginia but they can fuck off with that:

So does Reddit heh.

University is supposed to teach you fundamental ideas that help you think about the world not hard skills. That’s why it’s called a university and not a boot camp.

Provided some garbage from either Microsoft or your hardware vendor isn’t sucking up all the I/O or CPU which has consistently been my experience the last few times I’ve suffered Windows.

It’s Mozilla all over again.

It sounds odd to hear about typewriters outside of prisons.

After all the games Apple and Microsoft have been playing I’m not sure they’re a bad idea though.

Ye olde pragmatist vs idealist.

Yeah. I’m against abortion but that kind of thing is HOA levels of unacceptable.

I’m not ok with it. Nothing in my house runs Windows and even my phone runs Linux with a fairly normal X11 DE at this point.

At work all the coorperate crapware makes the machine so unstable anyway Microsoft’s malware would just be one more thing. It’s a broken window (heh) situation.
