superchink··on Show HN: Mention Bin – Create Twitter campaigns that target US legislators
Can I ask how the mapping is done to go from zip code to legislators to Twitter accounts?
superchink··on Dear Marc Andreessen
I'm not entirely sure this is true. Anecdotally, things seemed to be more expensive in Sydney. I wish I had better data, but I find this comment difficult to accept blindly. Actually, a quick Google shows some data supporting my experience, but I can't vouch for the data quality so I am not linking. If anyone else has anything worth adding, I'd welcome more information.
superchink··on Scoop: A Glimpse Into the NYTimes CMS
See krishy's comment above. It looks like they do not use Ruby/Rails for the CMS for editors, but use Java instead.
superchink··on Ask HN: Is there any reason I'm unable to submit stories?
I think this makes sense, since I was able to submit something else a second ago. We'll see if it persists, I suppose.

Thanks.

superchink··on Facebook Messenger 3.0
Nevermind… waited a couple minutes, and the update showed up. Strange though, that a fresh install installed the old version…
superchink··on Facebook Messenger 3.0
Is anyone else still seeing the old UI? I even tried removing and re-installing. On iOS.
superchink··on Reeder 2 for iOS
Is there anywhere that we can read about this product that Maciej is working on?
superchink··on New Sublime Package Control Site
He also describes how to install it manually, so you can do that if you're not comfortable with the other method.

superchink··on Show HN: Python library to read and manage your Gmail
I knew about that. Maybe I just want a good example application to use as a reference…
superchink··on Show HN: Python library to read and manage your Gmail
Slightly off topic, but does anyone know of a similar library for Google Calendar that's any good?
superchink··on Mailpile: Let’s take email back
Yes, but if they are collecting $100k to fund their work on this project over the next year, they will still be paying taxes ON TOP of that.
superchink··on Vintageous: Vim emulation for Sublime Text 3
Actually, I don't think you can fork it, since it's a paid plugin and I don't think the source is published.
superchink··on Why I Left Medium
You might want to look at something like Prose (http://prose.io/#about). It aims to provide the convenience of CMS/blogging platforms like Wordpress for static site generators.
superchink··on Vintageous: Vim emulation for Sublime Text 3
You likely will still not be convinced, but some of those issues (off the top of my head, at least the splits with keyboard) seem to be addressed by Vintageous (and some [plugins][0] for it).

superchink··on Show HN: AutomateYourDate.com - Outsourcing your dating
Are you suggesting that they paid her to record a false testimonial?
superchink··on Bootstrap 3 RC1
You're forgetting the key benefit of frameworks built on preprocessors like Sass or LESS: you can use their mixins to define semantic CSS rules, without using presentation classes.
superchink··on The OS X window manager for hackers
This looks great! The wiki has some good starter configurations, based on other apps' defaults: https://github.com/evanescence/zephyros/wiki

Anyone know if there's a way to move apps between spaces? This is something that I've been missing in all the tools I've tried so far.

superchink··on VLC for iOS Now Available (itunes link)
Not yet available in the US.
superchink··on Anonymous posts usernames and passwords of US Congress staffers
Looks like iConstituent is a CRM that they probably all use.

superchink··on Heroku Platform API, Now Available in Public Beta
I can see this being a good candidate for a Vagrant provider!
superchink··on Mac OS Screenshot does not Allow DVD Player to Appear in Captured Region
People still use DVDs?
superchink··on Google 'kerning' easter egg
I had no idea… thanks for pointing that out. Doesn't seem too useful for those of us that can see the comic for ourselves, but a nice easter egg nonetheless.
superchink··on Now they have two problems
I'll just leave this here:

superchink··on Show HN: Nuesbyte v2
Are there any plans to reach out to any app developers (e.g., Reeder) to work out an integration? I think that's a pretty key requirement: solid integration with high quality cross platform feed reading applications.
superchink··on Show HN: Nuesbyte v2
I agree with your general sentiment here; it was a surprise and they really should be more transparent about the pricing model. That said, they do offer a free week to decide whether you would like to spend $24/year (paid monthly) on the service.

I much prefer this (even imperfect) approach to how feedbin doesn't let you even try it until you provide credit card info and pay the $2.

superchink··on Square Cash - Email money to anyone’s debit card
Anyone know how to request or receive an invite?
superchink··on Flickr gets new UI, new Android app, 1 TB free space
I'm unable to find any mention of this 300MB/month limit on that linked page?

I only see: "Upload photos of up to 200MB per photo"

superchink··on Polymer, a Web Components library built by Google
I don't think there is any long-term unique URL checking. I'm pretty sure it only checks for recent duplicates. I think that's by design.
superchink··on My customer wants me to record a video of how I develop his software product
Damn. Missed out. All these are used again.
