Of course, you wouldn't be able to stop users from skipping the ads...
I think the problem is either they're not serious enough about their content or that unscripted, live shows are hard to lock down to a single length every week.
When online shows are scripted, filmed, and edited down to exactly 22 minutes, then scheduling will get much better.
People have the same ideas at the same time. It's always nice to get another perspective.
YES, I've been thinking about this kind of thing for a while. But <nsfw> doesn't seem like enough.
What if an entire page or website is nsfw? Maybe some kind of header information would be more appropriate. Or inside the root element (<html nsfw>). How about specific ratings? <nsfw rated:"urn:mpaa:R">
There are still plenty of problems--kids getting around the browser settings--but it's 10x stronger[citation needed] than "what's your birth date?".
‘ ’ “ ” — … • ½ ™ Ⅳ and lots of other ones that are much less useful.
I know these kind of exist, but would advertising them as friendly—rather than sexual—hurt or help the business? What about the word-of-mouth?
But, if you have the resources, you might as well have an app. Think of the App Store as free advertising.

Oh, and: University of Maryland (both College Park and University College).
But I'm guessing they won't need it if they don't change a thing and just have user's choose to upscale it. Apple would probably prefer to be boastful about app numbers.
SG is sexual, but not out right porn. Apple can do what it wants, but it kind of sucks that an entire company's branding is essentially banned or "in review" for 3 months.
Yes, they have Safari, but that harkens back to the web vs native app debate.
If only Android was the popular one...
I was thinking about a service that lets you add notes to books last night. My first thought was that every note had to default to public. Why? So you would contribute to the greater community without having to think about it. If you truly wanted to keep a secret, it would be an option.
BUT, this service is very far off from what Facebook let's you upload and share. Though, the point is the same, they're being selfish at individual user's expense.
It's nice, and user friendly, until you want to switch. One of the reasons the Mac vs. PC debate is almost moot is because of how easy it is to move from one to another. A JPEG is a JPEG, no matter where it is. A folder of JPEG files can move back and forth no problem. But moving from iPhoto to Picasa on a PC? Not so easy, esp since you may need to write a specific routine to handle each programs individual "filesystem".
The weekends kind of count as an scheduled event on their own, but having "THE WEEKEND!!!!" typed out every 7 days might get distracting/annoying.
PS If you like this, follow http://twitter.com/ImSoOCD so I don't spam HN with every little thing I think up. It's only one update a week.
It's why Google wants everything.
[About half-way down] The iPhone is less than 10% when compared to more realistic competitors.
They're letting the internet hurt their brands. It has a lot to do with the design, ads, and [citations needed].
