You make a valid point though, which is actually more scary now that I think about it... it is becoming less and less possible for non-google (/other huge) companies to train models on verifiably human-generated content, as only Google (/other huge companies) have enough accurately timestamped data to train on. Hmm.
Also I guess since I'm a Ruby dev a lot of Jekyll stuff made sense to me pretty quick.
For Linux I've had some success with Microsoft's RD Client android app -> remote to Linux PC.
I'm on gnome though, which has some experimental setting which allows you to set remote desktop clients to act as a new display instead of cloning your existing display.
> But the crowns can account for up to 80% of the fruit’s volume...
Also instead of just yanking off the crown, which seems to aggravate browning, they could probably just cut it off close(r) to the stem for essentially the same volume savings but less quick browning?
And if your changes have been QA'd in staging and/or they aren't that hectic (and are backwards compatible) then I think auto merge into prod can be fine too.
FWIW the announcement reads very boring to me but I guess I was expecting something else. Likely won't be super useful in a small-medium size company.

Ctrl + Tab (next tab)
Ctrl + Shift + Tab (previous tab)
and Ctrl + W (close tab)
... it's so so useful to be able to flick through browser/code tabs and close them all from my mouse.
I see a good unused 3-button combo on your screenshot that could be good for these bindings, even if they are a bit awkward to click :P
Some other oft-used hotkeys are my ShareX Screenshot hotkey (ShareX is awesome. Windows-only though), and a hotkey I set up to handle the StreamKeys extension so that I can play/pause YouTube, Twitch etc. with my mouse (works better than just media hotkeys in my experience).
I know there are a couple third-party services that you can sign up on to monitor that for you (they email you when someone replies to you, AFAIK), but I opted to just go with the flow and hit my "threads" link every now and then to see if someone has replied to something.
Agreed - built-in, opt-in HN notifs (or easy-to-opt-out) would be good to help with what OP is asking about, IMO.
Crafting ASMR of the highest caliber.
I think if it weren't for some stupid comments by a League developer (?), no normal people would know who he is. Now, if you try hard enough, you can find his identity leaked in an old blog/forum post (?) and have it proven/corroborated in other areas online I think.
I think I understand what OP is getting at, but if an AI lawyer proves to be both cheaper to hire and more effective at defending me... it's a no-brainer IMO.
Then after my AI lawyer and I win my jaywalking hearing or whatever, I can meet up with friends and talk about things like humans do.
Unless by 'tabs' you mean 'instances' or 'windows'?
There's a 5% chance that I fall madly in love with this thing and go tinker on some project in a coffee shop every weekend... but it's much more likely that I end up almost never using it :|
Not sure why else "debit cards" would suddenly have CVV codes and such.
I'm guessing companies have found that it's always a trade-off between camera quality and bezel size, and a thinner bezel impresses people more than a better camera.
I find Apple webcams perform better in video calls than most/all others, so they don't really have much to worry about. If you do want some insanely high quality "webcam", you could buy that magsafe gimmick they showed off last year that allows you to use your iPhone's back cameras as the webcam for your MacBook.
I think an elegant way for rsync to handle this would be to just move the page from ".../canary.txt" to ".../canary-2.txt".
Sends the message that the first canary is dead, but leaves a second one up for the next warrant.
Pretty clear indication that something is not yet 'transformative enough', IMO.
Same happens with Copilot and such - you can get it to spit out tens of lines of code verbatim pulled from someone else's project, with comments and all.
These kinds of things just don't sit right with me.
Agree with the parent to your comment - did not mean to insinuate it should replace water.
This year I aim to get more active, and bought a fancy water bottle a while ago which will hopefully help with staying hydrated.
Regarding your 'lightly salted' water, if you can source it easily enough I'd suggest you try some Pocari Sweat [1] for a workout type drink - it's an electrolyte replenisher. I got into it when we lived in the middle east (found it in cans for cheap) and since then I sometimes buy it in powdered form [2]. I really like the taste - lightly sweet/salt.
I'll try adding a bit of salt to my drinking water and see how it goes, thanks!

See vid for some discussion around it - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_5uCvcyD0Eo
BTW for anyone else interested - you can hit "show transcript" on any YT vid (with CC I'm guessing) - and follow along with the video and/or CTRL + F to find mentions of things.
On most screens "show transcript" will probably be hidden behind the triple dot menu to the right of the like/dislike buttons.
From what I can tell, FFMPEG does support actions like that. Perhaps it's not "lossless enough" for the app author.
Elon's methodology isn't the best way forward though. Ugh idk.
