stackola··on The incidence of myocarditis and pericarditis in unvaccinated Covid patients
I appreciate the response. I agree with most of what you say.

I still think it's important to point out that in this situation, with a) a lack of primary data and especially b) considering the political and societal implications for publicly disagreeing with the "accepted opinion" consensus might just not be a great measure in this case.

stackola··on The incidence of myocarditis and pericarditis in unvaccinated Covid patients
> the overwhelming majority have reached a consensus in favor of vaccination doing more good than harm (for good reason)

Do you believe they have all the data needed to make that a final conclusion? Or are most of those medical professionals simply following certain leaders and descission makers? Would that even count as (useful) consensus then?

stackola··on Ask HN: If you could teach a course, what would it be?
I imagine this to be a real-life thing. In Germany, we have things called "Volkshochschule" (think: community college without any commitment, just booked by the course. It would be perfect for this kind of model, or just offering a few weeks crash course during the summer break.
stackola··on Ask HN: If you could teach a course, what would it be?
Building and flying custom FPV quadcopters. I think this would be a great way to teach young kids all kinds of interesting topics AND get them to go outside.
stackola··on Nearly half of Covid patients haven’t fully recovered months later, study finds
Not to stir the pot too much, but the much more prevelant narrative was "Everybody not getting the vaccine would die within a year"

Why does your account read like every comment was written by an AI? They are all so gerneric, most of them seem to directly relate to the title but nothing else. You've also never gone into any discussion after leaving your initial comment.
stackola··on Three Nord Stream gas pipelines damaged in one day
And yet you make the assertion "What it is not is a successful covert operation by a competent intelligence agency."

"Coicidence theories" (for lack of a better word) are just as difficult to prove on day 1.

stackola··on Three Nord Stream gas pipelines damaged in one day
... is what the intelligence agency would say.
stackola··on Three Nord Stream gas pipelines damaged in one day
Or a new German government, but your option seems more likely.

We aren't even talking about arming anyone, we were talking about sabotage.

stackola··on Pentagon orders review of psyops after takedown of fake social accounts
This post is specifically about the US' own psyop operations -

> The Pentagon has ordered a sweeping audit of how it conducts clandestine information warfare, after major social media companies identified and took offline fake accounts suspected of being run by the U.S. military — tactics used by countries such as Russia and Iran in violation of the platforms’ rules

stackola··on Show HN: Unweb – adblock for distractions (including HN)
I know it's needed to provide the functionality you're going for, but I'm always weary of extensions that want to "read and change data on ALL websites I visit".

Any reason why you not just request permission for the 19 domains you actually support? Also, I know some extension request permission on a per-domain-basis the first time they actually try to access it. Maybe that's a path you could also look into.

stackola··on Show HN: Caddy 2
You accidentally a word or two here:

stackola··on Understand the JavaScript SEO basics
No one is saying the should get a boost in ranking or rank well just by being an SPA. You're the one suggesting they should be penalized just for the fact they use client side rendering.

You seem to suggest that a SPA can only consist of a single `view`, when in fact there's often no discernible difference apart from the underlying architecture. Maybe we need a new word, so people stop getting confused. SPA has nothing to do with the amount of content or views a website has.

It's just as simple to create a shallow, useless website in PHP as it is in React.

stackola··on Understand the JavaScript SEO basics
>The bigger question is why you think an spa should rank well in general. It's only one page.

Spoken like someone who hasn't used the web in 5 years.

You don't even need a service worker for that.

Just fetch it.

  fetch("https://jstrieb.github.io/")
So yea, other sites on his github pages are compromised, that's true.
stackola··on Show HN: Web pages stored entirely in the URL
That's not true, service workers still obey the cross-origin policy.

The only thing I can think of is, that a service worker has it's own CSP, as opposed to obeying the CSP of the registering script, but this service doesn't use CSP anyways.

This appears to be a custom react setup, no premade framework that I could find.

I found the non-minified .jsx [1] for it though, if you're into that.

I can. But I don't think that should be the default state, nor is it healthy.

I'm really trying to do better in this regard, but it's proving difficult to improve at.
