If a sensor provides additional data, why not use it? Sure, humans can drive withot lidars, but why limit the AI to using human-like sensors?
Why even call it a crutch? IMO It's an advantage over human sensors.

But I sorely miss not being 100% dedicated. What I do for work has always been a big part of my identity. And half-assing something feels like not being true to myself.
When interviewing, I would expect the interviewers to be the same. If they are not, then that already tells me a great deal about the culture.
Not justifying apples tactics though.
Newton had discovered the law of gravitation, but didn’t publish it for a long time because he couldn’t justify how the gravitational effect of a sphere could be the same as if all its mass was concentrated at a point in the center. He had to invent calculus to prove it. Isn’t that amazing?
I know the author is using calculus as an example of a hard thing, but if someone is genuinely following their curiosity, then things do not seem hard. Personally I wouldn’t want to work on hard things just to prove to myself that I can do hard things. I’m happy being lazy.
Find as much time as possible for leisure, and don’t feel guilty about it.
I’m looking for a simple cad software for visualizing how my home interior would look like with some remodeling. Wondering if this is a nice tool to use?
Thanks!
I loved that game as a kid.
