A CD is like a DVD with only sound. A DVD is like a Blu Ray but can't hold as much. A Blu Ray is what your PlayStation/Xbox games come on. Given the popularity of game consoles and that most of them still use optical media, I don't think CD/DVDs are things that a young person would be unfamiliar with. Unlike floppy disks which have no equivalent or use for average people these days.
sombrero_guitar··on SolarWinds leaked FTP credentials through a public GitHub repo since 2018
Highly sophisticated attack that only nation state could have accomplished or leaked FTP credentials that any script kiddie could have used?

There are fascists punks and there are anti-fascists punks and there are punks who do not care about politics.

They seem to be selling pretty well depending on how many Apple manufactured. If you want them you are going to have to wait until March already.

SpaceX doesn't compete directly with them but the rockets from Virgin Orbit, RocketLab, and Relatvity Space are also exciting.

Latency is a dependent on how far away you are from the datacenters and Google does have many datacenters. You can play Destiny 2 for free on Stadia to see what the latency feels like on the service. Also there are differences between games it seems with different games experiencing different amounts of latency. The Division 2 and the Doom games are some of the best games in that regard on Stadia.

It sounds like Google has plenty of plans for Stadia in the years to come.

> What I can tell you is that we’ve built a roadmap of about 400 games in development right now from 200 developers. So when those games land, whether it’s in the calendar year of 2021 or beyond, is something that you’ll hear more from us in the future. Will there be more developers and more games on the platform? Absolutely. But frankly speaking, my team is almost done with 2021. We’re thinking about 2022 right now — that’s our focus. 2023 is really kind of where we’re aiming our sights. 2021 is in incredible shape. Hopefully, that gives you a sense of the scale of where we’re moving.

And Stadia Games and Entertainment, the publisher arm, mentioned "special bonuses" for RPGs coming in 2023 and beyond.

sombrero_guitar··on AirPods Max
The Airpods Max is more comparable to something like Sony WH-1000XM4, Bose 700, or B&O Beoplay H9. You can't really compare wired openback headphones to headphones that are meant to be worn in public on the go. However, even among the wireless headphones with active noise canceling, the Airpods Max are more expensive than their competition. The closest in terms of features and price is the Beoplay H9 and that is $50-100 cheaper depending on where you buy it. To many people the extra integration with Apple products is worth paying the difference. For other people, especially those not all in on the Apple ecosystem, the cheaper competitors are a better option. However, comparing it to products in a different class is not a very good argument.
