snug··on PlantNet – App that helps identify plants from pictures

I was going to say the same thing, I would like to see a comparison of the two
snug··on Why we listen to new music
I only listen to music when I'm working on, and on spotify there is only a few "Workout" playlist created by spotify that never really get updated. When I search for Workout playlist for user created playlist, there's a huge range of music that doesn't even feel like workout music. Curious if anyone has found a good workout playlist that gets updated with new music.

snug··on Show HN: Monitoror – Unified monitoring wallboard
Grafana needs a backend datastore, and typically prometheus exporters on each app, etc to get timeseries data that gets into the backend.

This seems to be checking endpoints for data at that specific time, not really doing any complex calculations or anything of that nature.

snug··on Better password protections in Chrome
Possibly, internally at google, we had something similar that would look for passwords found in the wild that you're using for internal google logins

> Some key decisions made during the AWS evaluation process, taken together, allowed information to be exfiltrated from a database snapshot. These were: (1) we created a database snapshot for testing; (2) an internal compute instance that we created was accessible from the outside world and it contained an AWS API key; (3) this compute instance was compromised and the AWS API key was stolen; and (4) the AWS API key was used to access the snapshot.
snug··on Coastline Paradox
Blows my mind that this was only observed about 100 years ago[0].

0 - There's no date but the first observation was by Lewis Fry Richardson (b.1881-d.1953)

snug··on Gmail confidential mode is not secure or private
Really, it keeps honest people honest, it's like a lock on a gate, anyone can get around it, but if they see that it's locked (or they can't forward a message) then they won't try to circumvent. I don't see why it's so hard for some to understand this

Plus codes seem to be a much better solution https://plus.codes/

Kinda curious why you would be using something like this?

snug··on Pika CDN – A CDN for Modern JavaScript
It would be great to make the packages immutable, doesn't allow the maintainer of the package to change code on the website, malicious or not.

snug··on Chase did a bad thing, so we did a good thing
Awesome, seems like a great service. I myself don't think it'll be a good idea to give someone my credit card number.

In another comment you talked about starting another kind of bank? details?

snug··on Twitter is rejecting posts containing JSFiddle URLs
It doesn't even look like it's blocked, you just get a interstitial page warning. I think this was their best route. Shouldn't be up to tech companies to build logic for each site that can't get a handle on their users content. Twitter can barely do it themselves
snug··on Stadia Founder's Edition
> A free tier will be available some time in 2020, as will a paid subscription tier that doesn't require the upfront purchase.

Wonder if the paid sub won't require a payment for games in the future.

Even with a console you still have to pay to play online, so I don't see this as necessarily a huge problem if I have to pay $10 to get the online aspect and still pay for the games
