A birds eye view, turn based game, based on the Aliens film. I played it on apple Mac maybe 25+ years ago. Have never been able to find it since. It always ended with the famous quote from the film "it's game over man, game over".
I'd get something more formal than text messages, as there is a risk you will own nothing and these are worthless. Definitely need a contract or other agreement.
I'd consider speaking with a professional therapist, if you aren't already. You may just need an objective view and a chance to talk out everything on your mind for a while.
Take the day off and enjoy your life, work is not everything (as I think you may agree, given your goal to live off of software you've built). You can always go back to 5 days later on if you don't like it.
Love the project. How long did it take for you to conceive and launch? What tools or platforms would you recommend to use for anyone interested in a similar project? Thanks
Very interesting indeed. My current masters research is is doing related work and I can't get this to work on GPT4 (random forest specifically). My as yet untested assumption is my data set needs to be bigger, and/or I need more features scores. So its interesting to see someone is getting this to work.
Id recommend just giving it a shot and not reading books about it. You'll learn way more, way faster. And it'll be hard, there will be constant rejection, and there will be mistakes, but it's the only way. Speak to people, message people, put yourself out there online and in person. Follow up when people may be interested, and don't follow up if people arent. All you need is a contract / statement of work / agreement if your havent already, and get a business to sign it. That's all there is, everything else is a distraction. Forget every other theory about sales, it's certainly not a science but there's a world of snake oil sales people - selling to sales people - it's nearly all bullshit. Just know what your offer is and see who wants it. Youre no doubt a smart and capable person if you're a lead DevOps I'm sure, you will get hired and paid, confidence and applied effort is all you need. Good luck. I say all this confidenently as I sell software services for a living, I'm good at it (with all humility).
This doesn't answer your question exactly, but there's a part time, remote, Masters Degree in Software Development in the UK that will really get you skilled and would be a route to getting a job in software. From a highly ranked university too. I'm about to finish the degree and can highly recommend. Lots of businesses recruit directly from this course. I can send you info if of interest.
It was true for me that the first year of driving sucks, just keep going, drive as much as you can (every day even if it's a short drive). Not only are all the roads new, the lanes, dealing with car problems, garages and mechanics are all new too. But, you'll get there. Other things, just slow down a bit anytime there is something unusual or risky happening on the road, space gives you time. No matter where you are on a drive, remember you just have to do the same small set of things (look, move, signal, gas, brake etc.) Don't worry about pressure you might feel from other drivers, if they're going too fast behind you, let them over take, keep calm always. Good luck, I'm sure you'll love driving before long and find it opens up a new freedom and responsibility in your life.
I think it looks good, certainly polished and professional and good brand name. I'd focus on sales and distribution and less now on building (of course build based on what your customers are saying they need). Can you team up with gyms and personal trainers, or social running/lifting/ other exercise groups. I'd just start giving them a call, emailing, or showing up. I've certainly tried to sell products that were waaaaay less finished than what you have now. Good luck!
I found this a fascinating bit of research. I suspect that there is so much of our history undocumented, with only remnants like those described as a window to that past.
