My ICE car handled the polar vortex just fine. Although any marginal parts are vastly more likely to fail, I imagine a lot of batteries were replaced.
The last one is really hard to judge though. Its quite common for a CEO to effectively cut R&D and be seen as a genious for reducing costs. The company dies a slow death resting on its goodwill for a decade or more.
But I don’t think it should be legal to waive your court rights like that.
Aside, google has gotten worse than useless. In a first ever I had to scroll through a full page of cancer treatment ads. Zero organic results on the first page. Even then it needed careful tweaking to get Google off the “treatments for cancer” train of thought.
Was not able to find the dog story I remembered. Google wants to show me either national security or cancer treatment but not the intersection.
There have been people pulled over in the DC area after undogoing chemotherapy. In one case it was a small dog.
The diesel emissions scandal in the US had a European counterpart that was never dealt with. 2018 models are still polluting far above the official limits which themselves are more lax than the US. [1]

Legally the parents consented to the charges, but it’s clear from the leaked documents Facebook knew parents thought it was a one time charge not something their kid could spend without limits.
Also the wheels are not connected to the pistons anymore so that rocket is going nowhere.
- Traditional online media has been looking for an online advertising giant to attack for a while, Facebook was the first to be involved in a national scandal (Google is bigger but they're "Not Evil"). They want to regain some control of their advertising income
- Democrats blame Facebook for electing Trump
- Republicans blame Facebook for moderating from the left (doesn't help Zuckerberg was courting the Clintons and actively assisting her during the election).
- Privacy advocates want a focal point for the issue of online privacy and data mining.
The real question is: who doesn't hate Facebook right now?
This has very little to do with whether someone actually comes into work and everything to do with what they say or don't say.
They’re the ones who get yelled at by the customers for the crappy service and upper management for not being able to find someone to come in on zero notice.
I can guarantee that the one place the message doesn’t go is upper management in corporate.
I’ve had shitty jobs including a stint at Walmart. You may leave without notice but the vast majority of people had the decency to tell their manager they were out. People working crap jobs have self respect and common decency too.
Actually they do - directly in the grocery store there is Maple Leaf branded meat.
Further they have PR commercials on all the time about how happy and healthy the farms are.
Your analysis is flat out wrong.
What has happened is massive growth in drug prices, housing, and other non-productive areas of the economy. Rent seeking is rampant.
This is the situation we're in now. Just different people shoulder differing amounts of the cost. Equal pricing won't change the fundamental economics of drug research.
If McDonald's is a bullying litigant - there are ways to deal with it that don't bring the court itself into disrepute.
The problem is not the criticism, its the culture war and tactic of de-platforming anything uncomfortable. If she just got rude messages or even unfair articles in the NYT and it was left there, then she could just ignore them and continue doing what she likes doing - and what her audience likes watching.
It should also be noted that her latest deplatforming wasn't even related to her. Paypal cut off her alternative to gofundme because of other people they were funding. She was just collateral damage.
Nobody here is complaining about mere criticism. They are complaining about the very real attacks and successful attempts at censure and silencing.
