skydv··on Rise of Bitcoin Competitor Ripple Creates Wealth to Rival Zuckerberg
but they can't sell any of it without annihilating the market. It's like I sell a diamond to my friend for 1 billion dollars, but she pays me 1$ every year for a billion years. So formally I am a billionaire, but actually I am one diamond short.
skydv··on The Failed War on Drugs
> What, then, can we do? .... Only then can we engage in rigorous and countrywide education campaigns to persuade people not to use drugs.... We still have time to persuade our young people not to ruin their lives.

Yeah you should've persuaded Steve Jobs not to use drugs and especially LSD. Then you could also invent iPhone yourself

It's what bitcoin core developers prefer. They don't want segwit to bloat the blocksize before lightning is ready.

skydv··on Bitcoin is Eating Itself
it is still very much usable for mostly everything, especially when the bubble pops finally and it will be used to buy stuff, not to trade
skydv··on Bitcoin is Eating Itself

skydv··on Citadel's Ken Griffin Says Bitcoin ‘Bubble’ May End in Tears
If I was given 1 satoshi every time I hear some old fart is preaching Bitcoin doomsday I would be a trillionaire. I can summarize it without even reading into

I don't get Bitcoin, why don't they all use banks instead, banks are cool because I use them and I am def cool. Bitcoin is not supported by anything, look at that nice cool bank where we used to fuck whores, USD is backed by all that coolness, Bitcoin is backed only by math and I don't get math.

But tbh fees are now ridiculous, I think Bitcoin will crash soon

skydv··on Fast and precise type checking for JavaScript
so was it Angular or just a JS codebase?
skydv··on Angular 5.0.0
They are probably just angry at themselves for jumping into React too early. Good I had wits not to do it. Angular is simply awesome, especially with CLI. I am doing a big project and I never touched nasty webpack files. All that I wanted additionally was available via npm install. Typescript is awesome. Tons of frameworks, PrimeNG being the greatest .

And I think Angular is winning anyway by a large margin: https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=all&q=Angular%...

skydv··on Angular 5.0.0
People jump on a victim train too easy. If they can't complain on life, they complain on JS or Angular. If you think something is better, ok thanks, we will consider it. But what is the alternative? React? Good god, never. Vue? Can't comment, but doesn't seem to be doing good: https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=all&q=Angular%...
skydv··on Angular 5.0.0
Angular still is the best out there, not much choice, tbh
