But the choice of headlight is probably one of the lowest factors when deciding on which car to buy, you just live with what the car manufacturers are shoving on us.
I don't get the resistance to a digital/national id in other countries. To us it is quite bizarre.
Some have explained it with a lack of trust between citizens and the country.
But without such digital id it is impossible to have such digital government services as we have here. The government services need to verify and autheticate the citizen, so they only access their own data and not someone who has the same name and birth date by accident.
I don't see how such a system gives the government more powers. It already has all the data on its citizens, but it is spread out, fragmented, stored with multiple conflicting versions, maybe some of it is stored in databases where no one cares about security, etc.
Why can't i paste a path and just go to it like I can in Windows or KDE, why can't I cut and paste files? Why do i have to open 2 separate windows and drag the files between them?
Who decided that it is somehow useful to leave an applocation running when you close its window?
There are so many silly and stupid small things wrong with os x
Tipping sucks and your taxes suck too. When I see that something costs 15€ on the menu then I expect to pay 15€ and nothing more. How can you be happy about surprise taxes? How can you plan your spending when you don't see how much something costs and you still think this is superior?
It is shoved everywhere but nobody really needs it.
So it is sometimes better to buy stuff online, because the reasoning is that you haven't seen or tried them, but when you buy it in a physical shop, then you were aware what you bough and can't claim that you couldn't check the colour of a thing or how it fit you or whatever else reason you can think of.
He should apologise, stay quiet, not get involved in politics or try to influence elections in Europe by supporting far right or other extreme parties.
The US knew nothing about the operation.
If Trump had known about it, he probably would have told putin accidentally (or.. knowingly?)
You in the US keep saying "we are so special, so it is impossible to change things for the better in any way". While other countries also have complex rules for similar things yet they still manage to provide a better experience for shoppers, citizens, sick people - everyone.
trump should call putin a dictator, because.. he obviously is, but for some reason he chose to attack Zelensky instead.
How can there be elections when there are millions of people displaced, there are large parts of the country occupied and huge part of the population is on the front defending the country.
This "dictator" stuff is just straight russian propaganda, that americans have been swallowing up because someone told trump it was true.
Why support your country with our money if you don't want to support us at all?
Your defence companies will face huge losses because of this.
Estonia has had conscription for our whole independence from russia, and we don't intend to go back to russia. Lithuania also has conscription and Latvia started it again last year.
Estonia also has the Defence League, a voluntary organisation which offers trainings and will support our defence forces.
Finland and Poland also have conscription.
Knew a developer who worked there.
Day 1 of aquisition - there were 4 layers of managers between him and Steve Ballmer.
A year later there were 8. Tjis is how much bureaucracy and managers MS added in only one year
We will happily pay a bit more to get as far away from russia as possible.
Also, our prices include taxes, subsidies for renewables, the co2 scheme payments and so on.
You guys can think of lots of reasons to justify why you can't do things like the rest of the civilized world does, be it prices and taxes, medical insurance or something else. The US is not some sprcial snowflake country.
In Poland basically everything is covered in huge adveretisements, "Kantor" here and there, car repair shops, etc. On bus stops all the walls are covered in them and there is even something on top of it, facing the road.
Drinving there is tiring, the brain just gets tired from it.
We think its part of slavic culture or something.
