But thank you!

But thank you!
It provided a local apple store which I know of as the 5th result when DDG just showed the generic untargeted bing results.
Apple: To download Apple Inc.’s 'The Swift Programming Language', you need to have iTunes.
Me: What?
Apple: Using a 64-bit edition of Windows? On a Mac?
Me: No.
That experience just killed a potential programmer for you right there, Apple.
I had a few hours to kill, and was pumped to jump on the next apple cash cow and help us both, but you literally killed my ability to download the manual or learn anything more about it for a few days, by which time I'll probably be onto something else.
They have this: https://developer.apple.com/library/prerelease/ios/reference... But it doesn't look nearly as in depth as the ebook would be.
Absolutely. That "someone" you mentioned is me.
>I don't understand people. You think watching porn regularly doesn't affect how you think sex should be (and what you expect from it)? ....... etc .... etc ....
What are you talking about?
>Why is this all a big deal? well here on HN, equality comes up quite often. Women's right to be treated equal, to be free from sexual harassment, and from being treated as inferiors. Do you think Dre's influence in years past and presently has helped women's equality or hurt it? I think the answer is quite obvious.
I really couldn't care any less, I was only commenting on the fact that "Bitches" in an N.W.A. song is not referring to all women in general.
>If you are female, can you imagine being his co-worker, or admin assistant at Apple? How uncomfortable would that be?
I can literally think of 10+ females that I know who would jump at the chance to work alongside Dr. Dre for FREE.
Even after calling them Bitches on stage, he experienced no shortage of women trying to sleep with him after every show he performed.
Try listening to some N.W.A. sometime, you never know, you just might like it!
Very, very beautiful site though and wonderfully fresh idea coming from such an arcane institution. I like it a lot.
Bitches != All Women (when it comes to oldeschool rap lyrics at least)
A "bitch" in ebonics/early-hardcore-rap is a scandalous/hated woman for well known reasons. Like the local gold digger or crack whore which was very prevalent in their societies which they strongly felt the need to address. They're not referring to all women as being bitches.
This is explained quite eloquently in N.W.A.'s "A Bitch Iz a Bitch" which was produced by Dr. Dre. and DJ Yella [0][1]

I prefer to think in standardized terms like KBs, not lines of code.
EDIT: For the downvoters, I am just saying that it would have been more beneficial to myself had they of addressed their improvement in terms of a percentage of code reduction or actual measurable size of their code. I was not trying to be snarky.
Poutine is just fries, gravy and cheese curds where I'm from!
When you got into a head on collision, you would (perhaps) be spared the whiplash.
The actual quote from the mashable article was:
>When her husband tried to buy $500 worth of Amazon gift cards with cash in order to get a stroller, a notice at the Rite Aid counter said the company had a legal obligation to report excessive transactions to the authorities.
So in reality, they made a big stink about the fact that they noticed that Rite Aid practices safe KYC laws and would report suspicious money-laundering activities to the government. As they must. Lest they expose themselves to money laundering charges as well.
That isn't to say that the clerk who sold them the $500 gift cards immediately picked up the phone as they were walking out the door and called the cops... that just means that if they notice you regularly buying $10,000+ worth of gift cards with cash only AND they just don't like the look of you in general, that they may pick up the phone and call the police.
I was astounded when I learnt about them initially to say the least.
Never mind the criminally dumb omission of the transaction fees. Gox could have bought a valid trading identity on one of the various websites that sell them, and included the fees (which end up in their pocket anyways) in the transaction.
Once they have begun, I tell them "sure, basic programming is simple, but you need to think hard about what you really want to do".
That generally has a good outcome and they continue to be interested in programming and wanting to learn more about it.
If you tell an interested person straight away that "it is incredibly difficult" then you will be discouraging a large number of people before they even begin.
Apparently Japan has an abnormally high suicide rate too. It ranks 10th in the world according to wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_suicide_ra... while france is 26th.
I would call a single suicide an abnormally high rate but I digress...
"Nous avons eu un grave accident."
Which translates to:
"We have had a (very) bad accident."
I was becoming frustrated at the frequent subway/train delays (while every other local Parisienne just sat tight, chalking it up to an every day event) and she quietly whispered to me on the the train that [sic] "Whenever they say there has been a 'grave accident', somebody probably hurled themselves onto the tracks, and this happens much more frequently around christmast/family holidays for obvious reasons."
Suicide is a terrible thing that literally affects the entire world.
I recently had to deal with my best friend losing his (incredibly successfull) father to suicide. Being an up-and-coming startup-loving entrepreneur... I could have only hoped to reach his level of excellence in the business community. But he just kept to himself and blew his brains out in the family bathroom the other day for god knows what reason... what a shame.
Apparently suicide is a huge problem in France, and most of the time when a train is delayed or you are stopped in the middle of the tracks it's because they're quickly picking up body parts.
That's also the reason for the lack of communication on behalf of the train operators.
I suspect that points of interest would be fully up to date in places like New York City, but lacking in smaller towns and villages for obvious reasons.
I was assuming the entire time that "bytecoin" was referring to the group that literally copied the bitcoin sourcecode entirely, and left it at that.
What is "the new bytecoin" then that you are supposedly referring to?
It seems very naive of the "new bytecoin team" to adopt a name that has been associated with fraudulant activity in the past.
I still rest behind my case.
I have not invested a single penny in bytecoin and probably never will.
Do they have professional cryptographers working on and vouching for their source code like zerocash? Please, inform me.
I beg of you to tell me the next great crypto currency to invest in. But for now, I am investing most of my diversification fund into zerocoin.
Bytecoin is literally a direct copy of the Bitcoin code. Minus their recent change to the unproven (non peer-reviewed) curve25519 algorithm. It's basicaly a scrypt altcoin with an even lesser-tested algorithm at it's base.
Zerocash/Zerocoin is far from that reality.
Bytecoin has done literally nothing besidres change the hashing algorithm, Zerocash is an entirely new beast altogether.
See here for proof of calling out curve225519 vs scrypt http://www.google.com/trends/explore#q=curve25519%2C%20scryp... (when scrypt isn't even really an improvement upon bitcoin).
Please stop it with the Dwight references. I beg of you.
Your karma wallet does the same.
Go for it, you will probably survive. Just not experiencing a very fulfilling life.
By "dog food", I was referring to kibble and how it's made (and demonized in our culture because of it). Nothing more.
Their attempts to merge the original Zerocoin idea into the Bitcoin blockchain were met with contempt.
It's just that all of the "high grade dog food" vendors call bloody-murder over the fact that we're feeding our dogs industrial chemicals and that doing so just couldn't possibly be healthy for the dogs.
I'm actually curious to try out "dog food for humans" and if I feel as good or better... I'm stopping the extra time, money and work involved in making my own dog food and feeding her kibble with the occasional piece of meat now and then.
What a relief that would be!
But when I realized there was going to be a delay (and added cost) I had them ship it to a friend in the states whom I regularly visit.
According to their facebook page, you are correct. There is a delay in shipping international orders.
