simssousa15··on Show HN: I built a chatbot that lets you talk to any GitHub repository
Just added the option to choose. You can now give less permissions and only access public repos :)
simssousa15··on Show HN: I built a chatbot that lets you talk to any GitHub repository
Free, no need to clone the repo and on the web.

The GitHub api doesn't allow for read only to private repos :(

Needs to be this way or no access to private repos. I can add the possibility to choose if people have a problem with the permissions

github api needs a personal token unfortunately. without each user signin it reaches the rate limit very fast
simssousa15··on Ask HN: Why can't we have LLMs writing documentation?
Very true. Generated docs will never be able to do that part.

That being said from what I've seen at work (and I think other people experience the same), the bar is not that high. Meaning if the LLM generated documentation was able to explain what is happening without the "why" that would already be a significant improvement.

What do you mean by Microsoft has lost all faith in AI to do any of this?
simssousa15··on Show HN: Built a cheaper easier to use Grammarly
I was also considering offering a 7-day money-back guarantee. Would that be enough to convince you to try it?
simssousa15··on Show HN: Built a cheaper easier to use Grammarly
Thanks for the feedback! You are right, I should have made it clearer that it is a Chrome extension. will change that as soon as I can. I am also not sure what made it not function correctly, I'll take a look and figure that out
simssousa15··on Show HN: I built my first project to automate job applications with AI
Hey, I'm Simão The extension currently works for LinkedIn and Indeed job applications. Let me know any ideas for new features, improvements or new platforms support you guys might have or simply review it on Product Hunt so that we can improve. Thanks for your time!
simssousa15··on Show HN: I made an AI-finance tracker that let's you chat with your wallet
Hey, here are some issues that would stop me from buying your inner wallet: 1. Pricing is too expensive, I mean with those prices I could pay someone to help me manage my finnances once a month and I'd talk to a person instead of a bot. 2. Tracking my expenses isn't a particularly interesting feature since most bank accounts, that have their own application, will be able to display this to you. 3. Your most important feature (atleast it seems like the most reasonable one for someone to pay for it) would be to get insights regarding your financial situation. However, on the website feature descriptions there is not a good example of just how 'good' these insights could be. Thus, as a customer and knowing that you're using AI to produce these insights, I find it questionable whether or not those insights will provide any positive value to my financial situation other than billing me $10 a month. Even if they help me to get a better hold of my finances, you would be better of explaining me how are you going to make customers save more money than the money you charge them.
simssousa15··on Show HN: Created an Event Page for IT Services – Looking for Feedback
Hey just visited the page and one of the things that seems off to me is the width of your header and footer. On low width devices it seems ok but for higher width they don't scale accordingly. Lastly, on small devices it doesn't seem appealing at all to me. I think you should try reordering the rows, meaning that the square to insert the images would be on top of the page and then the email submission form. As an additional tip, I think readjusting the width of the email submission form for small devices to not use all the available width could improve the website appeal.
simssousa15··on Show HN: Offline-first note-taking web application
Hey, Just gave it a try and here are two questions: 1. Why can we search for the document tittle but not for the TAGs? 2. What is the purpose of the lock icon when the document is already locked? -I tried putting the password for the document, but nothing seemed to happen.
simssousa15··on Show HN: Text2Infographic – AI Infographic Generator
Hey! I like the idea and might use it in the future when the need comes. I think the text bar on the landing page is not working as intended for multi-line inputs so you might want to double-check that. Otherwise, it looks great!
simssousa15··on Show HN: Building a Small SaaS in Public
Hey!

Love the idea. I feel like videos like this for entrepreneurs can be a thing. I think you can even make them a bit longer and go a bit more in-depth into your thoughts, problems that you have been struggling with lately, solutions you found etc.

It reminded me of Sam Sulek's car talks where he is just rambling about whatever at the beginning of each video, and people seem to enjoy that kind of content.

simssousa15··on Show HN: I built a software that saves you time by composing and replying emails
Hey! The idea sounds interesting and I would be down to try it out. Any idea when that will be possible?
simssousa15··on Show HN: A Chrome extension to quickly ask ChatGPT about the page you're on
Hi, From what I've seen in your repo README, it seems like the user is redirected to a new window with ChatGPT. However, I think it would be much desirable if somehow the user could receive its answer that little window (chrome extension like) instead of being redirected. Do you think that is possible?
