serious_angel··on GitHub is proud to announce that you can now obtain your public repo on CD-ROM
Awesome! It is indeed a marvelous merchandize concept! An effortful work of ingenious ideas and great history... sealed in a iridescent CD and signed by a supportive holder of it on public...

Thank you, for an awesome, relatively ingenious idea to preserve the history and highlight its significance in a human history, the love for discoveries and cooperation...

I love it...

I have no idea why you support slop and hate on people effort, including me trying to highlight a thing being a slop where no people actually worked on their project but just paid for a few tokens, wrote a prompt, and published the model output.

It's sad you negate all my other effort, and fixate on these few comments where I share my stand for my beliefs for human work, experience, effort, and love... And it's also sorrowful you list just a few references to my messages in your negative accent, here for everyone to shame on whatever you believe yourself. You should list my other contributions and comments (which you just ignored and dimmed) to judge my presence and history fair, human, and responsibly.

If I see an effort, I support: https://codeberg.org/Brachylophus/Apoidea/pulls/29#issuecomm...

Slop? Never, and I would rather die. Meanwhile, I just so heartfelt hope the agent-circled person will re-consider their time and life, and listens to the screams and sorrow inside the datasets of these LLMs which are built on stolen by vendors (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, High-Flyer, Mistral, Cohere, Google etc.) effort and art of now unknown/defaced artists and developers...

If you have problems with me, I ask you to discuss this in private. Otherwise, your attitude does not seem professional or accountable.

I appreciate you heartfelt... for your marvelous effort, time, and love... you've already invested into the platform. Yet, it's obvious that the platform has changed. It's sorrowful to know Hacker News became this utter mess, where also initially trusted people derail conversations and threaten members on public, and for this? Thankfully, there are other venues, including public even as Lobsters (previous Barnacles), IndieHackers, DailyDev, DevTo, Tildes, HackerOne, or fediverse-like Lemmy/PieFed instances even.

There's no personal attack here. There's a message addressed to a person.

That is, your statement has no sense. If you believe it is, please report it. Oh, please put your public defamation and devaluation of someone's commentary together, considering it the same "personal attack" towards me.

If you are so afraid of receiving messages that address your name, please reconsider your presence on the Internet.

If you will invest your time and effort addressing me on my projects published, where I assume responsibility and my authorship of them, being accountable for the works I publish on public.

That is, it is a work of someone who published online, and that is a responsibility to be taken, hence licenses exist, and your name on it. You are free to be "personal" on my work, too. Please do! I would appreciate it, if that would help us discover more and educate ourselves on subjects involved.

serious_angel··on What any website can see about you
A yet another pure LLM/"AI" slop... for utterly no reason... that only mocks and ridicules many similar others, including actually human-written years ago... Not to mention:

    \- amiunique.org/fingerprint;
    \- coveryourtracks.eff.org;
    \- pixelscan.net/fingerprint-check;
    \- browserleaks.com;
    \- ipleak.net;
    \- demo.fingerprint.com/playground;
    \- whoer.net;
    \- 2ip.io/privacy;
    \- ...
Why do even re-implement the wheel... negating the effort of actual people? Welp, you may live now knowing you've paid to use/mock stolen knowledge and art of now unknown actual developers/artists/people inside these srrowful LLMs, and possibly learned close to nothing prone to forget everything in a few months or weeks...
serious_angel··on Dwarf Fortress in the Browser
Hurray! The author has re-organized the Readme making it more adequate!

Let's hope they wrote it manually, or at least re-verified the possibly re-generated "simplified" version...

serious_angel··on When I reject AI code even if it works
For example, the following "works":

    json='{ "left":2, "right":2 }';
    result="$(
        perl -e '($_)=<>; / "left":(\d+), "right":(\d+)/; print $1 + $2, "\n";' <<< "$json";
    )";
    printf '%s\n' "$result";
Yet, it is literally the same as:

    printf '%s\n' "$(( 2 + 2 ))";
serious_angel··on Dwarf Fortress in the Browser
Nonsense. Apologies, but please consider the infinitely magnificent world out there... and not your own echo-chambered desaturated imagination.

I've been a travelling developer at military for security services for more than two decades now, and there's not a single soul out there I know in person who would expect or claim that any documentation is not for people but machines exclusively or initially even.

A documentation, whether formatted/standardized/conventional or not, is for a human, and always will be, because this is what you leave in the history of your own work of life.

    But... why.... from all possible protocols and options out there for secure, and less complex channels out there... they chose the so featureful and pure overhead as SSH...

    For low-latency VNC+Audio, why not WireGuard, WebRTC, QUIC etc.?

    Yes, Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup approached it relatively similarly for WebTiles, yet... it's infinitely different magnificent titles...

    Oh... it's not them... it's Claude they used... or? Who knows, right? No one, including the priceless invaluable ideas of actual developers meat-ground into the Claude datasets now being sold for tokens...

    The keyword - mind. That is, a human being is supposed to stand behind a "brand", who is responsible for it, and is to be trusted for the product, the effort, the experience they offer.
serious_angel··on Peter Thiel's private society attendance list leaked via hard-coded HTML
My dear... more and more political is posted at GitHub... and there's so much hope... this won't result in even more service penalties eventually...

Yes, it's been accused by Microsoft, and yes it has been having issues since then, including the unstable uptime, but... it's still the awesome GitHub... with an ineffably magnificent history to care for I believe...

serious_angel··on Pac-Man, but you're the ghost

    The code was written by Claude, unfortunately, and hence no controls were probably even considered, or no tokens were left.
    I jumped in with the love in mind, too, but when I checked the source repository, and saw the actual source... and then the contributors... it was... I am sorry... it hit hard...
serious_angel··on Free SQL→ER diagram tool, runs in the browser, nothing uploaded

   Just to clarify, what link is it?
   I've check it out, and the GitHub icon, in the header on the top right corner, is correct, and links to the following project:
   - https://github.com/royalbhati/sqltoerdiagram
serious_angel··on Show HN: Free animated icon library for Vue
Thank you for the response!

To clarify, are you the author of the animations, or is it anyone/anything else as LLM, as the Claude used?

It seems like some look like of artists' Elliot Sutton (imskyleen at GitHub) and/or and dmytro (pqoqubbw at GitHub).

Oh... and the animation ease effect of rating items is also of dmytro's, isn'it it? It may be seen at:

- https://lucide-animated.com/

In this case, what is the main reason of your/LLMs project, if I may ask? What does it provide the aforementioned don't?

// ----- Edit (+20m)

I see, your project is a port to Vue you started:

- https://github.com/imskyleen/animate-ui/discussions/178

Relatively similar to projects as RadixVue, ShadcnVue, and the following:

- https://github.com/iloomilo/itshover-vue

Just in case, the aforementioned `icones.js.com` is not "new", but a project of Vue Community, initiated by Anthony Fu (antfu at GitHub), who is a member of the Vue core Team.

Regardless, though I don't appreciate use of LLMs (and presenting its output as personal work/effort), I appreciate you heartfelt for the added support for the ineffably marvelous Vue!

serious_angel··on Show HN: Free animated icon library for Vue
Thank you for the great comment, the effort, and your view/experience shared!

The droplet is what I found unexpected, too, indeed. Yet, the overall ideas, including the reverse animations on rotating ones, with some funky ease, is purely genius, I believe...

If the actual animations/work are of hand of the Tim Rietz, the developer signed alongside Claude LLM, the they are a great artist!

serious_angel··on Show HN: Audiomass – a free, open-source multitrack audio editor for the web

    It seems like the inspiration went from Audacity, and with great changes to the design and feel of calmness and solidity!
    I've tried loading a file with XM format, yet the current state of the import logic stated "Unsupported". Is there any chance you'll support the format?

    For example, the following artwork is radiating charmingly in VLC:
    - https://cable.ayra.ch/modplayer/mods/!Others/DYNAMITE_-_Winamp_5.0RC8_crk.xm

    And, thank you! very much for the experiments, effort, miracles... art you do...
serious_angel··on Roman Letters
The website looked as any LLM ("AI") generated one, usually via Claude, considering the design that model frequently uses.

And it is (300,755++ lines from Claude): https://github.com/CraigVG/roman-letters-network

Here, I am sorry, but I just cannot consider it serious nor accountable, since I just cannot trust its data.

If all the information there is valid and verified, every single letter and the authors' word after the LLM's processing, then the "AI" may be dimmed.

Yet, I don't believe so, knowing how unlimitedly every subjective word may change contexts, and using objectified and limited LLM for it?

There's `?scholarly=true` GET parameter mentioned in the `:/CLAUDE.md`, but a quick check of its behavior didn't result in any change.

Regardless, the idea and overall intention that highlights the impact and importance of history, and presents connections between infinitely unique and miraculous people around the infinite world... where every single word carries a life moment... is ineffably magnificent...

Thank you, Craig Vander Galien, for the idea and love in history!

Translation work was guided by two internal documents: a translation guide covering late antique epistolary conventions, rhetorical register, and how to handle common formulaic phrases; and a modern voice guide specifying tone, vocabulary level, and how to avoid archaism while remaining faithful to the original.

serious_angel··on "Dirty Frag" (CVE-2026-43284): The Second Linux Root Exploit in Eight Days
This does sound inadequate. Do you think it's a possible AI slop "logic" written, too?
serious_angel··on "Dirty Frag" (CVE-2026-43284): The Second Linux Root Exploit in Eight Days
Nothing surprising there, even if 50 issues will be found in a month, since there exists more advanced relativity-based automation features as LLM.

It's easier to attack a solution with its source code available, and with an LLM trained on existing vulnerabilities found, and some datacenters/funding available, et voila, you have a system set to reveal flaws in already awesome projects, to be fixed.

This is normal. You just need power, and time. And there must be more found but left undisclosed, for better times, strategic 0days etc.

Who has such power, and funding? Is it possible Linux competitors do pay enthusiasts to attack, reveal, and damage reputation? What if someone who has funding and time, would try attacking their closed source code instead? Regardless, I wish them safety and peace, too.

serious_angel··on I built GitHub Store to 12,500 stars in 6 months – I started at 16
I am very sorry, but why does it scream AI, including the Readme, emojis, the post that mentions the age, as the most of such 1-week projects? As if the whole project was made by an LLM, similar to those dozens per day posted at /r/ClaudeCode?

And not to mention, a yet again, politics agitation...

That said, how much human was involved into this project, if I may ask?

I do not want to disrespect anyone, but I just want to trust your project, and to do so I must know how much there is yours of your own mind you trust yourself.

serious_angel··on Claude for Creative Work
This is a joke. Apologies, but the so "creative", ridiculous, and disrespectful title cannot be serious, and thus I won't even bother to read it, since it's an obvious click-bait for a yet another model ad of another vendor.

serious_angel··on When your digital life vanishes
These folder artworks, at the header, are freaking awesome!

If no AI was in use for its creation process, I do so wholeheartedly hope, then every single folder features ideas/message in quite genius attitudes, I believe, and the whole work deserves a physical frame!

serious_angel··on You don't want long-lived keys
Some magnificent systems have APP_KEY/APP_SECRET that is also used for cookie and database encryption. A frequent rotation of this is... inadequate... in systems with high traffic, to say the least, and hence I am sorry, but I do not believe it's the "usual" desire. As always, it depends on the context and transaction scope.
