selivanovp··on Dutch central bank moves 86 tonnes of gold from US citing 'geopolitical unrest'
A lot of countries never recognized ICC's jurisdiction over them, USA included.
selivanovp··on Iran Is Using Foreign Criminals to Attack Its Critics Overseas
Iranian regime are not the good guys either, but they're the product of what regimes in UK and USA was doing to the country for decades, because of their oil.
selivanovp··on Iran Is Using Foreign Criminals to Attack Its Critics Overseas
You have been fooling yourself for decades that you're the good guys.

But you're not. No amount of mental gymnastics can help at this point to justify all the evil things USA does around the globe because of greed and lust for dominance.

selivanovp··on Gulf States Accept a New Normal in Hormuz: Iran Is in Control
The EU leadership is even worse than what they have in USA.
selivanovp··on Mykhailo Fedorov reveals struggle to secure Patriot missiles and Western support
Numbers have never been in Ukraine's favor. With provided funds and tech by EU and US to mass produce long range weapons Ukraine managed to shorten the gap somewhat, but they're still losing, and they're a "zombie" country that is still afloat just because tens of billions are pumped into their economy and military every year.
selivanovp··on US Military asks troops for 'creative and unconventional' ideas to punish Iran
It smells desperation. Give up and accept your failure already.
selivanovp··on Escape IntelliJ: Scala and Kotlin LSPs on Emacs Eglot
The company was registered in Prague for political and financial reasons, but it has always been Russian to the core. Yes, they had multiple offices outside of Russia, but they were still mostly populated by relocated Russians. That's why their product quality significantly dropped since 2022, as they've cut themselves from their main source of engineers.

You're right about SolarWinds though.

selivanovp··on Escape IntelliJ: Scala and Kotlin LSPs on Emacs Eglot
Significant portion of their staff left in 2022, when they decided to relocate from Russia and they keep bleeding engineers ever since. Despite registration in Prague, JetBrains has always been a Russian company with dominantly Russian employees.
selivanovp··on US Debt Clock Live
I don't think people in Washington are waiting. They're pushing for WW3 full steam ahead.
selivanovp··on US Debt Clock Live
None of them. You may only chose which slogan gonna be painted on the bombs to drop around the world.
selivanovp··on Lindsey Graham has died
He won't be missed.
selivanovp··on SpaceX wants to launch 100k more Starlink satellites for 100x the bandwidth
It's not. USSR and Russia experimented with space mirrors and was able to light significant territory. It was a successful program, but in 1993 Russia had no money to continue the project, so it was wrapped up.
selivanovp··on Orbital Data Centers: Why the Hype Outpaces Reality
My bet is that all of this "Data centers in space" media campaign is just a cover for testing and launching military stations with an ability to attack ICBM's and ground targets all over the globe.
selivanovp··on Iran stops negotiations with U.S., vows to 'completely' block Strait of Hormuz
Quite contrary, I'm pretty sure that USA is well aware of what Israel is doing and both are acting in coordinated way. Both do not want any settlement in a region, they need more chaos and global supply interruptions. If it wasn't the case, USA could've stop weapons supply to Israel long ago.
selivanovp··on Canada to order military plane fleet from Sweden in shift from US suppliers
Stop spreading propaganda.

- Ukrainians are the second largest ethnicity in Russia.

- The majority of people living on a currently contested territories of Ukraine used to be USSR citizens.

- Russia got the majority of Ukrainian refugees since the start of a war if we count per country.

- Pretty much all the former Ukraine citizens got Russian passports and a citizens of Russia now.

- And yes, if Ukraine is using cities as fortresses and do not evacuate civilians from there, high chances are that after weeks and months long battles those civilians end up in graves with nasty wounds on their bodies.

selivanovp··on America's Greatest Strategic Blunder: The Imprisonment of Qian Xuesen
Yeah, sure. That's why half of my MIPT faculty in early 00's was Ukrainians from Kiev and Dnepropetrovsk that were sent there to study physics and math and rocket engines for three years, and after that they were sent back to write diploma after practice on the soviet era facilities in mentioned cities. It was the normal procedure since soviet times.
selivanovp··on America's Greatest Strategic Blunder: The Imprisonment of Qian Xuesen
It's a false analogy. Ukraine was no such source. It's just happened after WW2, that as a part or rebuilding a devastated territory, plus a better climate, resulted in USSR relocating several of its best aero/space and in general military institutions to what is now known as Ukraine. For example, their space engines engineers were educated in Russia till 2008 at least, maybe even longer.
selivanovp··on Russia is starting to lose ground in Ukraine
Ukraine war has never been about more land or resources for Russia. It was all about NATO expansion by overthrowing governments in post soviet countries and installing hostile regimes there. For Russia an independent Ukraine was fine as long as it doesn't join a hostile military block, and that's exactly what was planned to do since the coup in Kiev in 2014. So we have war.
selivanovp··on Cuba says it has run out of fuel, blames U.S. embargo
>He has even stated publicly it has nothing to do with NATO.

That's not true. It has always been about NATO absorbing Ukraine that is unacceptable to Russia. Putin warned about it since his Munich speech in 2007, that Georgia and Ukraine has to stay a military neutral countries or it'll result in a war with Russia. USA just decided that they may ignore it and do whatever they want anyway, pushing NATO in, after organizing "revolutions".

selivanovp··on Cuba says it has run out of fuel, blames U.S. embargo
>It feels similar to Putin invading Ukraine because he didn't like the example of an EU-aligned country prospering next door and the populace starting to ask difficult questions.

Ukraine was a much poorer state and is a much poorer state than Russia. Putin's invasion has nothing to do with "EU-aligning prosperity" that never happened, but with USA and EU overthrowing Ukrainian government and placing a puppet regime that turned Ukraine from a friendly-to-neutral state into an hostile one to Russia.

selivanovp··on Vladimir Putin is losing his grip on Russia
It's ironic that Economist keeps pushing this propaganda year after year, but it's UK that has worse and worse performing PM's, but every single one of them keep dreaming not about their own country and economy, but how to topple Putin.
selivanovp··on If Apple makes an iPad Neo, it's all over
I still use my iPad mini 2 I bought in 2014 to read books. The only problem with it is that reading books is one of the very few things I can do with it these days as Safari is no longer capable of rendering most websites, most apps are not supported, and generally iOS 12 ate most of the memory device has. So yeah, it's my bookreader still, but nothing more.
selivanovp··on US fired 1k JASSM cruise missiles in 37 days. Lockheed makes 396 per year
Yeah, like pretending that they don’t see an elephant in the room, but Putin in every shadow.
selivanovp··on Londoners are sick of viral videos telling lies about their city
>Musk repeats verbatim Russian talking points about Ukraine.

Have it crossed your mind that they're just closer to truth than what Western propaganda spreads about Ukraine conflict and why it started and keep going?

selivanovp··on Palantir gets $10B contract from U.S. Army
Wrong.

1 country in the world won't make you safe from wars. There's a reason why military was and is separated from police. Just think what's going to happen when your soldiers start to kill citizens.

1 country in the world tend to degrade to dystopian regime, and it was researched by multiple books authors, and actually a modern day USA is a good example of a regime on the path to dystopia.

selivanovp··on Palantir gets $10B contract from U.S. Army
Yep. This is the type of a psycho, that start all the wars.

If history teaches us anything, as soon as some country gets a superior war tech, it immediately leads to them using it to destroy whoever they see as their enemies. And what really stops wars is when their main adversaries have the same power to destroy if being attacked.

Mutual deterrence is what was keeping us from WW3 for several decades. But the recent and growing idea of USA that they can break from this stalemate and crush anyone with overwhelming strength is what makes WW3 closer and closer by the day.

selivanovp··on Guide to Ukraine's Long Range Attack Drones
It helps them to stay "under radar", but their effectiveness is limited to something flammable. Pretty much any hit besides some oil refinery is mostly a PR, without real damage.

selivanovp··on Iran asks its people to delete WhatsApp from their devices
If Meta is compliant, there’s no point t believe that any other USA based corp is any better.
selivanovp··on Iran asks its people to delete WhatsApp from their devices
It’s a lie. Russia Ukraine war demonstrated clearly that everything you write in whatsapp, your location, any photo etc are easily accessible and monitored in real time by USA government and their three letter agencies.
