It appears the issues were found using simple heuristics (e.g they detected string pagead2.googlesyndication.com in a comment) and these detections weren't then manually reviewed as claimed, which is wasting everybody's time.
Now we've reached the conclusion of this discussion with a good old "well that's just like, your opinion, man" I would like to add that the magic mouse is not as popular as their other peripherals. In fact, at least in the office I work in, people would rather use a £5 Amazon special than one of the spare Magic Mice laying around.
Is there any other corroboration or proof?
Edit: To add a couple more: using system fonts without a suitable fallback, and not being careful with modifier keys when doing custom hotkeys

In the footer. I wouldn't trust this policy explains the full extent.
YouTube has shown people real big explosions (Beirut, Tianjin, etc) and how vicious they are, but you rarely see a CGI shock wave.
Rockets too, RPGs are fast but movies have them sauntering through the air.
On high latency Internet with otherwise OK speed, pages of "only" 3MB can take several seconds to load.

In the UK, despite that it's legal for individuals to record their own calls without any consent or notification to the other party, these foreign companies have decided that it's either illegal, or that we're just now allowed to use it, and the features are disabled.
The built-in options are therefore unavailable, and Google seems to have gone on a crusade to make sure these apps in the Play Store are nerfed or removed. APIs that apps could use to provide this functionality have been removed and the only option now is to use he accessibility APIs which involve manually installing apks, and dismissing scary warnings. I don't expect this will work for much longer.
Where's Stallman when you need him...
Also, creating a readonly root out of an existing disto is a bit of a pain, my preference is to use a distro (like TinyCore) that's already a readonly root.
Never fond of these articles myself either. One I read was "Falsehoods programmers believe about names" and part of the reason they annoy me the assumption that programmers create these requirements in the first place. Like... I believe that all users are simply identified by a GUID, it's someone else that wanted your first name, family name, pet name or whatever.
This one seems particularly weak though, the biggest timezone mistakes are usually made by users. We had a recent one where all the scheduling got fugged up because someone was changing the timezones to account for daylight savings. One of those things where I can laugh with my fellow programmers... "users, am i right XD", while secretly wondering how to improve the timezone selector UI.
