sagivo··on Forge: The open source pipeline for generating SDKs, CLIs, docs, and more
I think it's pretty rude to clone Fern and not even give them a credit for it.
sagivo··on Show HN: Nitpicler. I was quoted $1M for AI PR review – so I bulit it myself
these were the quotes from multiple AI PR review companies based on our org size and repo usage.
sagivo··on How Apple AI Should Have Worked
I built a small Mac app that connects to your favorite LLM and rewrites highlighted text when you press Cmd+Shift+I (customizable). No more jumping between windows. Stay in your email, Slack, or Notes app and edit text directly. You can tweak the LLM prompt to match your writing style.
sagivo··on [dead]
Author here. Like everyone else, I use AI to help refine my writing (actually I have a post about that). The ideas and substance are mine. What exactly is the issue with the post?
sagivo··on Show HN: MCP Generator for Your API
we have a built-in support in the liblab SDK generator for complex types like OneOf, AnyOf and AllOf
sagivo··on Show HN: MCP Generator for Your API
We're working on improving the interface to include clear instructions for connecting the MCP to LLMs. In the meantime, you can follow the integration guide available here: https://liblab.com/docs/mcp/howto-connect-mcp-to-claude
sagivo··on Show HN: MCP Generator for Your API
Yes, the liblab MCP generator works with any MCP client (including Cursor, windsurf, Claude etc..)
sagivo··on Show HN: MCP Generator for Your API
Yes, because it's built on top of liblab SDK generator, we support any format that liblab SDK supports: https://liblab.com/docs/reference/spec-support
sagivo··on Everyone Sounds the Same
Lately, everything online sounds the same.

Polished, professional... and kind of boring.

When we let AI smooth out every quirk, we lose our voice — and the internet gets a little less human.

I wrote a quick post about it.

sagivo··on Launch HN: Double (YC W24) – Index Investing with 0% Expense Ratios
I think it's a great idea. I wanted to do it myself many times and didn't have time for it. I hope it will shake this industry and help bring fees down.
sagivo··on Show HN: AI to write nonfiction books tailored for you
looks really cool, i'd love to use it for our product.
sagivo··on Grok-2 Beta Release
Putting a new tool for developers behind an "enterprise API" gate is a sure way to kill it
sagivo··on Pikachu Volleyball
Loved that game as a kid. Brings back memories
sagivo··on DevEx: What Drives Productivity
I find it funny that an article about DevEx is on a website that isn't adapted for mobile reading.
sagivo··on Changes at YC
It's much easier to spray and pray than to dive deep into business fundamentals.
sagivo··on Ask HN: Should we be asking 'how did you sleep' vs. 'how are you'?
sounds too personal and HR will probably won't like this question
sagivo··on Fewer people are creating new podcasts these days
Like the app store, we had a gold rush but it quickly became oversaturated and dominated by few players. It's also very hard to get discovered. Only way to get to top 10 is to spend a lot on marketing. I don't know people who build new apps anymore as a result
sagivo··on Tell HN: Airbnb has no system in place when a host cancels on a renter
Airbnb used to be a good deal, cheaper hotels and great experience. Now it's usually much more expensive than hotels, you need to obey crazy rules to stay a night, clean after yourself solve "escape the room" level puzzles just to find a key and hope you'll get a good review back.

Airbnb really made me appreciate hotels again.

sagivo··on OpenAI ChatGPT: Optimizing language models for dialogue
I can see this as a Google replacement
sagivo··on We don't know how the universe began, and we will never know
Looking at a static stone and deducing where it fell from may work based on the current rules you know today but no one tells you these are the only rules. We have to look at science as best guess for the moment and not as absolute truth.
sagivo··on Twitter tells employees they might get only half their annual bonus
Paywall. Any alternatives?
sagivo··on Super Simple Storage Service
I'm about to start S5 - update only DB. Even less headache to manage and pricing is as low as $1/PB
sagivo··on I shaved 187MB off United Airlines' 439MB iOS app
This is why I always prefer simple mobile web version over installing apps. There's no added value for the app that I cannot get from a simple browser.
sagivo··on How we use Notion as a startup
In what point it doesn't scale? When you get to 800 people?
sagivo··on A confession of a FAANG hiring manager
What about all of those who got rejected? Do you think they actually gained any value from it?
sagivo··on A confession of a FAANG hiring manager
corrected. thank you!
sagivo··on Ask HN: Who is hiring? (February 2022)

sagivo··on GitHub Projects – Customizable, flexible tool for planning and tracking work
What was the added value?
sagivo··on I Built a Shed (2020)
I'm still surprised there are no DIY backyard offices out there to purchase
sagivo··on Townscaper Running in the Browser
Works pretty smoothly on my Android device running Firefox. Any details on how it was built?
