However I'm not puzzled by this. The speed was always fast, and they didn't employ any strategies like a lot of the other OCH which made downloading a huge PITA.

It's so much eyebrow-raising, too! All I wanted is a good search, but now they try to justify by saying "oh no our shiny AI costs so much!" – a feature I did not want and neither intend to use! Same with their browser? Why is everybody so fixated in making their own?
It is maddening. I recommended Kagi to all my colleagues and friends. Will stop doing that.
Teams is, was, and will be the absolut worst. They only won, because it's bundled into MSO.
I'm still on Monterey but have not yet updated to 12.6.1.
Also I have a severe fear of link rot. I developed the habit of putting every link I would bookmark into web.archive.org and archive.is as well. So a nice tool should do that too (and of course store the generated link). Some folks might even would want to have it stored offline.
Should have been a "back" button or smth!
Especially since I'm working in proprietary niche language, it would be so great to have my own code to be the corpus of the model.
It could be so easy: stuff your codebase into a model generator and out comes some sensible autocomplete. Well, at least I hope we will see something like this soon.
Torx all the way!
Tossing out zoning laws alltogether is just another nail in the ethically bankrupt city plannings coffin. Instead the zoning laws have to get better by revising their underlying premises. E.g. why the hell do you guys outlaw condos? In Germany we have a gradient on whats allowed and what not. The "BauNVO" (Baunutzungsverordnung) regulates that on a broad level. Then you will go to a more granular level, the "B-Plan" (Bebauungsplan). There it will have more regulations which have to be followed. E.g. it is very often the case that the ground level is reserved for commercial use, but on the other levels must be condos.
I'd sayx it is not really probable that you'd would immediately be nuked off your tld. And I also can't see the Swedes pulling this move.
But let's stay on track: The thing with painkillers is that they are not really predictable (so I don't wonder that he failed). Even if a study suggests that a certain kind of medicine might help better, this doesn't mean anything. It especially does not mean, that the painkiller will help me.
I've tried a lot of them, based on recommendations from the doctor, from the internet, from the pharmacist. In the end I found one agent that really helps me and I sticked with that.
Hassling with it on Windows was always a big pain, with the versions being incompatible to one another. Also it left so much bloat and changed so many settings it looked like malware. But to be fair most of those crude media applications did that at this time. (Looking at you, Realplayer!)
Also you needed the browser (Internet Explorer) plugin, because HTML5 video wasn't a thing, but everyone wanted to display their media.
In a sidenote QuickTime also was part of other installers, too. One big CAD application needed QT on the system for displaying their help files (and I guess some media im-/export). It wouldn't even install without it. To make things worse, the installer itself – not the app, mind you – was in Java. To uninstall now you both need an old Java and an old QuickTime to be installed first...
Until then most US urban planning will stay the sh*t show it is.
What is wrong by just writing VanillaCSS? This is becoming ridiculous.
There is a german company that still sells these. [0]
Also there is nothing like "bloat". No process needs too loop around or smth like that, so there is literally no way to have a forgotten registry item slowing down your PC.
And last but not least: What are the alternatives? .plist config files like with Apple, scattering around the system?
