I've been road riding with people who switched to gravel bikes and they were suddenly noticeably slower. They also seemed to run out of gas earlier which means they were expending more energy to keep up.
Don't gravel bikes have much smaller gear ratios? There is no way a strong road cyclist would have the same times on a gravel bike as a road bike purely due to the size of the front chain ring. I run a semi-compact up front on my road bike and I can't go faster than 53kmh on the flat without my cadence getting too high to sustain for longer periods of time.
I understand your perspective on DeFi in general and agree that it is necessary. Perhaps it's a case of perfect being the enemy of good enough. It does make me wonder if the current generation of crypto will be disrupted by something that functions in line with the stated goals of crypto AND is rolled out in a way that aligns with it? I guess they are betting on lock in but what is to stop dapps working with multiple protocols/cross platform in the future?
This is just rent seeking. I don't see how this is beneficial to the stated goals? All it does is tax the small guy who can't join the private sale. Crypto marketing and practice are at odds. It just doesn't sit right with me. No one seems to be able to explain why any of this is necessary from a practical/logistical perspective.
Fair enough but using a single year doesn't make sense in the context of websites at all then. Following on another question I have from this is why is a year sufficient? Is it the 1 Jan or 31 Dec? that would make quite a difference I would think?
This is the truth. Measuring work in hours only makes sense for work that you can only do when 100% applying yourself to the task (like brick laying or stacking shelves). Most of my high value output happens when I'm in the shower, riding my bike or going for a walk.
There is also the case of the secret Palantir contract in Greece. The bounds of GDPR need clarifying in respect to non EU governments and also public private partnerships.
I'm sorry but you're not making any sense defending your straw man. You're flip flopping your arguments so I can just recursively revert you to my initial answer.
Heightened levels of CO2 are negligible in a mask. You aren't supposed to wear a mask 24/7. You wear a mask a strategic times like when you are inside, shopping or in a crowd. If you are outside away from people or crowds you don't need to wear a mask. Besides it's obvious that wearing a mask protects others. All you need to do is watch a video of a sneeze with and without a mask on to figure that out.
Their best wasn’t very good. First thing is shut down flights from China. I mean it is a no brainier and I distinctly remember thinking wtf as we all waited and twiddled our thumbs because WHO said it wasn’t a pandemic yet. Yes we know it’s not a pandemic yet which happens to be the optimum time to act decisively so it doesn’t become one. Inexcusable.
A mask isn’t going to hurt you if it doesn’t work. Honestly my 3 year old displays more logic in his thought than this. And before you say it no the virus won’t appear on the mask anymore more so than it would enter your mouth and lungs if the mask wasn’t on.
How long is soon? I'm asking as I'm in the middle of building a saas. I might get to payments functionality in about 2-3 weeks if all goes well. Should I wait or register interest?
I’m still not seeing the value of Bitcoin for smaller transactions. Just use the existing banking system and if you want to buy Bitcoin then buy Bitcoin.
Those numbers are ridiculous if you think about them for a second. The bottom earners probably have zero excess earnings but somehow pay similar tax per dollar earned as the top 1% earners who have pretty much only excess earnings, even when not accounting for inflated lifestyle inefficiencies. That is just insane.
These figures are meaningless without also stating what % of income the top x% earned. for example if the top 1% earned 99% of all income then paying 24% of all tax doesn't look so good.
If that is the case normies living outside of the sphere of Russian influence have little to worry about surely. Better Russia than your own government.
