I work with principal investigators phd/mds at upenn automating some of their data analysis pipelines.

They have all have secret checklists for bs detection in papers they read. Certain labs set off red flags to them or certain techniques being too fuzzy or easy to mess up.

Every one seems to have their own heuristics, and no one seems to take any article at face value anymore.

I hear PI's say stuff is unreplicable all the time.

Basically he wants to retain control of facebook while running for office, I cant imagine this go over well with certain other countries. Especially ones sensitive to nsa leaks, it would just have incredibly poor optics, and just increase the balkanization occuring already.

finite resources on earth can lead to meagar resources which stop infinite growth is what I took from that paper.

So we'd have to get resources from elsewhere like asteroid mining or space colonization.

I voted for Bernie with many other college kids, and we abstained from voting in the presidential when fox news gave us more objective coverage at the dnc protests. It was an truely awakening experience for many of us. just my two cents.

It seems wrong and honestly disingenious to dismiss the term fake news and its narrative just because you've heard it once before.

Thats an anecdote, and we've had things like batboy and fake news about hillary clinton since the 90s.

Also the huge spike on google trends right after the election is undoubtedly important and meaningful.
