We don't care who tapped button A instead of button B, we just want to know how many people tapped button A instead of button B.
Even in large cities kids roam alone in their neighborhoods and parks. I live in SF, and regularly see kids under 10 skateboarding or riding their bikes on their own around my neighborhood. Now that I'm a parent, I also see toddlers running around fields in GG Park, barely within in earshot of their parents.
Odds are, if you don't see kids running around your neighborhood, it's either because you live in a neighborhood without many children (like most of SF), or you tend to be at work during the hours in which most children play.
I had a fair number of tabs open (~28 or so), and I restarted the browser so a change I made would take effect. I have FF set to show my windows and tabs from my previous session on start up, but it instead launched with a single tab showing my home page. Okay, no big deal, I'll just restore my previous session from the History menu. When I clicked on the history menu, though, I didn't see my most recent history, but instead a list of URLs from my bank.
I assume this is due to a syncing issue with my Firefox account (I changed my banking password just to be safe), but it's still concerning.
That said, speed is only one of a number of factors I consider when choosing a browser, and between the horrible UI and lack of compatible extensions, I'm sticking with Chrome for the time being.
That said, I'm part of the 83% who are planning on leaving, but there are two main problems:
• If I leave, where will I go? As many faults as SF has, it's still a beautiful, world class city, rich with culture. Walkability is huge for me, and I don't want to live someplace where I'm tied to my car.
• Salary. Usually the cost of living follows the pay scale of a local economy, but that doesn't help you when you want to buy things priced at a national level: computers, cars, bikes, etc. If you earn $160k/yr, buy a new MacBook Pro isn't a big deal; if you make $60k/yr, you have to put a little more thought into it.
I understand that the goal of any business is to make money be profitable, but SoundCloud went from being a resource for independent musicians to an also-ran in the subscription music streaming race.
I was a little worried about not having a physical esc key, but it's been totally fine. I don't even notice it's gone, and I use the escape key a lot. That said, I don't love the Touch Bar, but for the most part it's fine. I still don't think to use it most of the time, but am slowly starting to remember it's there. (I use an older MBP at work, so I only use my TouchBar MPB on weekends.)
I also agree that the new keyboard is great. I don't love the oversized trackpad, but I think my main issue is going back and forth between the new one and the one on my 2014 MBP.
Now I make a proactive effort to track both my job security and the job market so I'll know when the optimal time is to go back into working in porn.
*NSFW. Duh.

While I agree that the service is here to stay, the individual players are likely to shift.
You're never going to be innovative if your employees dread coming to work.
