Feedback is very welcome! It's an early beta so some features are still missing, but there should be enough to use it for smaller projects. Most things are drag & drop (adding images/links).
Looking forward to your thoughts!

UWP apps can't be closed by the user. The system manages the lifecycle and there's no way for a developer to know when the app will be terminated and when to save data.
To save your app's data you have to:
- Register for a suspend event
- Ask for an extended execution so that your app is not terminated within a few seconds
- Save your data and cross your fingers that the system does not terminate your app anyway and your data is lost
I recently ported a document-based macOS app to UWP and this was the BIGGEST pain point (aside from the fact that there's no easy way for an app to have more than one window, ouch).
Let's say, I invested in the original Bitcoin. Then somebody who has the marketing resources to build enough interest in a new coin comes along and decides to fork. Because of the hype around the new coin type, enough people are willing to trade it after the fork.
I'm being given the same number of coins of the forked kind and the value of my original coins drops by the difference in value compared to the new coins (or around that).
If I'd rather only invest in the original Bitcoin, I'd have to sell the forked coins immediately and buy the original Bitcoin back just to keep my investment value the same.
If anybody can come along and fork:
That sounds like in the world of stocks, a competitor could come along and decide to split the stocks of MY company from the outside, driving down the price of my stocks (me as the company's owner or investor) and there's nothing I can do about it.
Or in the opposite case, a fork could mean I lose money, just because somebody else decided to create fork?
For that to happen the old coin type would have to lose in price at which the fork starts. How is the price for a coin of a fork determined?
Best headline I read in a while. This made my day :)
Same here. I stopped buying commodity electronics items (cables, power supplies, headphones, etc.) on Amazon, because of all the fake products that claim to be 100% original.
Even the Amazon basics brand does not live up to its standards. I recently bought an Amazon basics USB/Lightning cable, "Apple certified". The lightning plug was so lose, it fell right out of the iPhone.
I ended up buying them for $30 in person at my local electronics store.
Let's say I use this for my Amazon account amzn.myusername@mailhero.io and I need to get in touch with Amazon customer support. For verification they require me to actually send an email from amzn.myusername@mailhero.io.
Or another case: as soon as I have to actually send an email to a service I signed up for and use my real email address, that is then known to the service and could potentially be leaked.
This would be awesome for keeping notes in plain text that will stand the test of time.
UI: http://flashcardhero.com/screenshots/ I'm always open for suggestions.
Now developers have to wait for a full review cycle (weeks) and create a new version of their app only to test different screenshots. There must be a better way.
I wrote the question right inside the HN form without any HTML tags. However, submitting failed once because the title had more than 80 characters. I assume that the tags were inserted automatically upon resubmitting with an edited title.
myBalsamiq is being developed by a proven team and they have quite some headway in terms of traction and features (in particular the project management features, it's more than a sketch app). Does this mean they will be the only ones making money in that market? No. There's always room for a different take on mockups, but it's going to be tough to compete directly with Balsamiq.
Disclaimer: one of my apps participates as well.
After contacting Adwords support I received this response:
"Our support team is unable to provide any further information. Please do not contact us again."
I ran a campaign for a website for medical school students. Absolutely harmless and as far as I can tell in full compliance with the ToS! I can only assume that whoever checked/scanned the ad assumed I must be advertising medical items (which I was not).
