It produces this beautiful nonsense in Japanese also, and even correctly extracted the topic from the Japanese lyrics : https://www.riffusion.com/riffs/71fa41f3-1488-4e9e-8f99-5f81...

I absolutely love this, and it nails genre really well. I think it’s optimised for English, right? The result of trying to get it to speak Spanish is pretty funny!

Hi, thanks for posting! :) It reminds me of https://togetherjs.com/ which I guess you looked at? What were the shortfalls/differences that you found you had to address? Is your product React-only?

I have a cheap Chinese-made doorbell with eight tune settings. The first is Fur Elise, and the traditional "ding dong" is number eight. Any time the power goes off it resets to number one. Needless to say I have given up clicking the button and resigned to my fate as a Fur-Elise-Doorbell-Person.

I'll take "things you can do when you're single"... can't quite imagine sidling up to significant other with the gambit "Darling, would you mind terribly if I spent £1000 on Kazakhstani emoji domains?"

I've always lived in Southport and your assessment is more or less true. But as I'm preparing to bring up a kid here, the decent schools, parks, and services are all I'm really looking for in a place to live. There are regeneration schemes under way with various levels of promise: https://standupforsouthport.com/southport-town-deal-5-marine...

The only other thing I'd add, like a commenter below, is that we went walking the other day on the frosty grassland of the beach, under a beaming wintersun, and it was really quite beautiful.

Thank you for sharing this, I've never seen KOMP before and it looks wonderful.

I've recently got into using https://kinopio.club for noting down these kinds of interconnected thoughts, which encourages combing and refining thoughts down to the root issues. But, some may find it too minimal compared to the tools linked in the article.

Hi Colin, you gave your juggling talk at my high school sometime before 2009. I already considered myself both a juggler and a programmer, but your talk inspired me on both counts, and taught me something about being cross-disciplinary in the things we enjoy and pursue. I've been a professional software dev for 8 years but I still think about your talk, your software, and your website. Thanks for encouraging young people like me.

There are some absolutely huge changes in here. And they fixed my (least) favourite bug, which is that Line Height basically didn't work. Not to mention HiDPI. As a Surface Pro user, it's well worth the upgrade.

My brother in law has aphantasia. We've had long conversations comparing our experience, or lack thereof, of mental images. One thing he says is that for remembering faces, its more like he can store a hash or metadata of a face, then when seeing a person again, can check that the hash or meta matches. Also, he doesn't get "earworms", that is, pieces of music that encode and replay in his mind ad nauseum. When asked to imagine a given piece of music, he inadvertently hums.
