recursion··on YouTube Is Down
YouTube music is 95% broken for me too. UK.
recursion··on Linear sent me down a local-first rabbit hole
At least for me this site is completely broken on mobile. I'm not saying it's not possible to write sites for mobile using this tech... But it's not a great advert at all.
recursion··on Mr Bates vs. the Post Office
After watching this I'm actually scared as a software developer. What an incredible programme. It has definitely opened my eyes to the effects our software can have in the real world.
recursion··on Apple’s new Transformer-powered predictive text model
And also stock Android.
recursion··on GB National Grid Status
This is false.

recursion··on Show HN: Improve your front end skills by practicing on real design templates
Great, well done. Brilliant idea and execution is top notch! Followed you on twitter to get updates.
recursion··on Ask HN: Why is Reddit so awful?
Some of us don't like installing apps for what should be perfectly usable websites.
recursion··on Thieves Nationwide Are Swiping Catalytic Converters
Surely you insurance would cover any bill from theft?
recursion··on Amazon buys 11 Boeing 767s to expand its cargo fleet
This is what I speculated above. Basically AWS for logistics. It can't be far off in many countries such as USA/UK
recursion··on Amazon buys 11 Boeing 767s to expand its cargo fleet
The sheer size of Amazon is mind boggling. Is there anywhere they've opened their logistics network to other operators yet? Like AWS but for their logistics.
recursion··on Show HN: I Rebuilt MySpace from 2007
It doesn't appear Mark is happy

recursion··on Players are fixing Microsoft Flight Simulator’s monuments with Google Maps
Amazingly, as far as I can tell anyway, there's not even a "report listing" button. Incredible.
recursion··on Minimum unit pricing may have helped reduce alcohol-related deaths in Glasgow
Basically. There is a minimum price set of 0.50 per unit. This means a bottle of whisky, 70cl at 37.5% ABV cannot retail for less than £14 whereas previously these would be on promotion sometimes at £11/£12/£13.

By setting it per unit instead of quantity of drink the government targets super strength cheap cider etc that were linked to lots of anti-social behaviour and crime.

recursion··on Companies may be losing millions due to emails buried in collapsed Gmail threads
Very interesting read. Author should have submitted the problem and solution as part of a bug bounty perhaps. Something for us all to watch out for.
recursion··on Google Maps Platform now integrated with the GCP Console
I've had the exact same experience. Also has many issues with local guides, labels disappearing and so on. It really feels like an unloved product.
recursion··on [dead]
404 site not found.
recursion··on [dead]
Can't wait for him to win wrongful termination lawsuit.
recursion··on Facebook Profit Jumps 71% Year-over-Year

recursion··on Waze for Android Auto
Me too. I'm on 4.26.0.3 and no update showing in play store. I'm in the UK and hoping I will see it there in the next few hours as I love Waze.
recursion··on Android O Beta Program
Got O installed about an hour ago. Some nice changes. Nothing that I'd class as amazing (for users) but a lot of steady incremental changes none the less.
recursion··on Google I/O 2017
My wallet is ready. Hoping for some nice new devices.
recursion··on A look inside Facebook's source code: Part 2
Very interesting to see if Facebook will take any action.
recursion··on KnightOS, a third party OS for TI z80 calculators
Oh, I didn't realise that. Thanks. What I posted:

KnightOS is a third-party Operating System for Texas Instruments z80 calculators. It offers many features over the stock OS, including multitasking and a tree-based filesystem, delivered in a Unix-like environment. KnightOS is written entirely in z80 assembly, with a purpose-built toolchain. Additionally, the KnightOS kernel is standalone, and you can use it as the basis for your own powerful operating systems.

You can download the latest (experimental) version here: http://www.knightos.org/download/

Thought I'd share this as it's really neat
