roborooter.comI speak from someone who teaches ruby and javascript. Javascript is in every browser and the console is a wonderful place to start. When I teach ruby (on Mac's) I have to start with, "well ok, now download xcode". It's really easy for someone to give up before getting everything working.
I've had a bunch of really great dates through howaboutwe, I never had an issue with them and they've helped us work out scheduling issues with the restaurants and places we've gone. Even after they hiked their rates a little bit, I still found pretty good value out of their service. I work way to much and I would honestly struggle to make sure I got out enough (besides my local spots) if hadn't signed up.
I use tracking to make better products and learn about my audience. Nothing about privacy gets in the way of that.
I care more about the merge then the commits. (In github parlance, the Pull Request) This workflow turns commits throughout time into a single change against the master (while still preserving the commit history). Conceptually this is a lot easier for me to see what's changing, and to deal with issues. So I guess I disagree with point #1)
In a continues delivery environment this workflow makes sense because the log accurately shows the history of the changes to the app in production instead of the development environments. (Merge, Merge, Merge)
#2 doesn't make sense to me, if you rebase you're up to date with master as of the branching commit.
Whatever works best for your team!
I do know if you build your own Chromium you can use a non neutered library of ffmpeg and play every codec it supports instead of just mp4.
The funny thing is I've been interrupted 3 times while writing this comment, it's ruined my flow and I forget what I was going to write.
Oh yea, I lock myself in an office and close the door when it's time to work on spurts of programming, otherwise I feel burnt out and nothing gets done. I've also got a boss who's capable of doing IT work. Having two of us helps entirely, maybe a $25k a year intern to ease the "my caps lock is broken!" off your plate could help.
But seriously, take your 20% time and don't answer the phone and use it to program. You need your focus time, and then come back and do the rest of your job.
but that twitter wall looks amazing! Looks like he may have coded it up himself - I know some activist groups would love to have one of those!
