realitylabs··on Kimi Linear: An Expressive, Efficient Attention Architecture (2025)
Out of curiousity, I like security just as much as the next guy and ensure that certs are valid, ciphers are fresh, and protocols are mature, but I am also not really concerned with an informational site that runs http being browsed. Would you mind sharing what your concern would be with browsing this content over http?
realitylabs··on Ask HN: What are tools you have made for yourself since the advent of AI?
Willing to share the traefik dashboard?
realitylabs··on Ask HN: What are tools you have made for yourself since the advent of AI?
Just out of curiousity, what are the 8 hooks you run?
realitylabs··on Apple rejected my dictation app for using the accessibility API
Same. My experience with the “concept” of Wikipedia was very high until I had the “direct experience” of Wikipedia, and I realized that the encyclopedia of the commons may not have planned for me to be in the commons.
realitylabs··on It is incorrect to "normalize" // in HTTP URL paths
This exact issue has derailed our main document store for the past several years. We have written a couple supporting applications specifically to address the fallout from this issue.
realitylabs··on Margin – Open annotation layer for the internet
This appears to be very interesting. What happens when the site goes offline or they change the underlying content I highlighted? Is there the ability to see the versions as it was when I annotated?
realitylabs··on ISBN Visualization
Love this!
realitylabs··on 72M Points of Interest
Thank you! This was a good intro to using duckdb for me with easily relatable content and cool maps.
realitylabs··on Show HN: Ulry – Lightweight and fast link archiver app for iOS
Does this have offline archival ability or link to something that does? I struggle with saving links that are then offline when I use them for supplementary research sometimes months or years later and would like to have something that will download the site as well when I add it to the tool..
realitylabs··on Show HN: Lunette – A word processor designed around writing, not formatting
Wow. This was great advice. Remind me to look you up when I present my next project. Thank you for modeling what a great critique looks like.
realitylabs··on Why is fingerprint.com browser fingerprint working so well with iPhones?
Very likely less than 99.5% accuracy based on my testing…

… or …. I guess it’s possible that someone is drugging me several times a day, cloning my SIM card, putting it in another device and flying all over the U.S.

realitylabs··on Owl: A toolkit for writing command-line user interfaces in Elixir
Are any of these published or would you share an example?
realitylabs··on Ask HN: What is the most impactful thing you've built?
Very grateful for you and it.
realitylabs··on Free Book: Linux IP Stacks Commentary
Ditto.
realitylabs··on Planning next to your code – GitHub Projects is now generally available
Will this work for GitHub Enterprise customers on AWS?
realitylabs··on Show HN: Trane, an automated system for learning complex skills
At first glance, this appears that it could have considerable potential. What do you think about changing the name to something unique since it’s so early on? Ethereal -> Wireshark, etc…..
realitylabs··on Reiser4 FS: Ways Extra Rigor Can Consume Years of Your Life [2005]
I’m at best a layman when it comes to file systems, would you explain what makes Hammer2 so interesting comparatively?
realitylabs··on Redbean 2.0 turned into more than a hobby project
I’ve been part of over 5 501(c)3 and 501(c)6 startups and unless something drastic has changed in the last few years since COVID, it is not that expensive (well under 1k). Consult with someone who does nonprofit creation and they will let you know what 501(c)X that the effort would best be described as and absolutely shouldn’t break the bank.
realitylabs··on Redbean 2.0 turned into more than a hobby project
I think this is awesome too, but I’m at a loss to describe where I could replace already built services. Can you share some perspective on specific things that you see this can do that is amazing?
realitylabs··on Ask HN: Are there better note taking apps than One Note? What?
I’m happy with StandardNotes
realitylabs··on Researchers at the brink of fusion ignition at National Ignition Facility
What exactly does this mean? What is 1.5 mJ compared to input energy?
realitylabs··on Twitch is hacked, and its source code leaked
These tools (DLP) have gotten better with app migration to K8s, since traffic can be watched prior to encryption in a standardized way. Just an FYI….
realitylabs··on I’m a developer, and the community scares me…
For what it's worth, I've been working as some role in IT for 25 years, published a book and written some heavily used pieces of software and feel the same way. It helped me to start sharing those thoughts with others I respected in the community to get their feedback and to help fight that negative voice in my head. I think those thoughts are common and when they are (now) shared with me, I confirm to the person that to tell themselves that it's crazy talk; sometimes my brain wants to keep me isolated even though that's the opposite of what's healthy for it.
