rashidae··on Removing stuff is never obvious yet often better
This is a beautifully designed blog interface. It’s one of the best I’ve seen, making it a pleasure to read.
rashidae··on I am starting an AI+Education company
If this project reaches its potential, it will revolutionize access to quality education by decentralizing and personalizing learning environments, allowing for self-paced and individualized experiences. I hope he has the multidimensionality of requirements needed, including capital, talent, business, economics, and more to pull it off! I believe in his vision! Go Karpathy!
rashidae··on I am using AI to drop hats outside my window onto New Yorkers
If this is used for the wrong reasons, so using something other than a hat… This could be lethal.
rashidae··on I'm Peter Roberts, immigration attorney who does work for YC and startups. AMA
How can Mexican founders of a Delaware C Corporation establish an office, hire employees, and reside in Texas?
rashidae··on Launch HN: Patchwork (YC W24) – Team communication based on feeds, not chat
I’ve been involved in the product development of inbox and chat interfaces, and I’m having a hard time imagining the applications of this product.

Though, I’d like to comment that there are two separate ideas that I will reflect on which are:

1) How LLM’s can be implemented to create more complex forms of content, with little to none human input. (Automatically adding context like title, summary, hashtags, images…)

2) The ranking, or algorithmic idea of changing “chat” to “posts” thus it’s concept development can evolve towards a Feed…

I wish you the best, thank you for sharing the demo and images. The UI looks great.

rashidae··on Give some new links a chance
The long tail phenomenon vs the power law distribution, in HN.
rashidae··on Vision Pro Review: Apple's First Headset Lacks Polish and Purpose
I’ve used Vision Pro, as an experimentation to the future. It’s going to get there. Be patient.

But I do appreciate the criticism, that creates the market.

Hopefully, talented people start building things other than AI and SaaS.

rashidae··on 'Strangers started telling me to go home': migrants in China
Please explain what’s the situation inside China regarding the west! Is ray dalio correct? Are we headed towards a potential war?
rashidae··on Startup Founders Fret over Getting Fired Like Sam Altman
Could someone explain how to fortify a first time founder’s position, that’s in a VC Backed type of startup which will need N Investment Rounds and Equity for employees and Board of Advisor's…
rashidae··on Show HN: I Made a Sudoku Game
The keyboard input is not being activated. I tried adding it to home (as a PWA, but didn’t see a difference.)

I’d love to play it regularly, could you give me a heads up when you fix the keyboard issue? Thanks for sharing!

rashidae··on Carta CEO's response to the unsolicited outreach to their customers' investors
I loved the response. This is a founder to founder public response! Not a customer support deal, but a personal one… I’d appreciate more people talked their hearts out like this, openly.
rashidae··on Everything2
I don’t understand the suggested post, but I liked the authenticity within this website. I loved the content.
rashidae··on Books fatal to their authors (1895)
“What is clear, however, is that punishment does not correlate to a book's popularity, or its truthfulness, or the quality of its scholarship. An author's madness is rarely taken into account when offense is perceived, and neither is haplessness. It's upsetting how many writers seem to have become fatalities entirely by accident.”

This makes me think of the last long podcast from Jeff Bezos with Lex Friedman, where he explains how we are not really “Truth telling creatures, but social creatures.” in his example of people that were more inclined as to be socially accepted, were more prone to survive, against those who spoke truth and provoked others comfort…

rashidae··on Endurain: Self-hosted Strava like service
Congrats! Loved the initiative.

There’s a lot of potential in the compounding effect of recording usable biometric data.

rashidae··on We have reached an agreement in principle for Sam to return to OpenAI as CEO
Could someone do a sentiment analysis from the comments and share it with all of us who can’t read all the 1,700+ comments?
rashidae··on OpenAI's board has fired Sam Altman
Please get Elon Musk to be the next CEO of OpenAi.

I would trust this company 100% if they did so. He is the most relevant and the best for the job, far far far!!

rashidae··on OpenAI's board has fired Sam Altman
Please get Elon Musk to lead it!
rashidae··on Show HN: Zapier's first API
Awesome!!!
rashidae··on Show HN: A collaboration platform for designers and clients (dotbrand.design)
I love your value proposition. But dude, your web design is worst than acceptable. I’m a senior ux designer and I’d know what to do to fix that for you.
rashidae··on ChatGPT generated a puzzle game
I love the game!
rashidae··on Sorting 400+ Chrome tabs in seconds
I can’t subscribe to your email list!!! Please fix it. I loved your content
rashidae··on Launch HN: Activepieces (YC S22) – Open-Source Zapier Alternative
Please integrate with Airtable and Xano
rashidae··on Show HN: Backhooks, hooks for Node.js and the back-end
This is so interesting! Could you explain to me, as if I were new to all these… let’s say, and considering web hooks as a comparable knowledge gap.. what’s a backhook and how can it be used!!?
rashidae··on The 5% Rule
So true. I take this as an aid towards my customer support approach. I guess it’s a good idea to include a slide on the onboarding process where we mention this and give some tips into how to deal with this in the most respectful, yet decisive way.
rashidae··on Jami: Share, Message, Call freely and privately
Great tool. Awful UX. Hire some designers and get them to be the product leaders.

You won’t get momentum with that user experience. Even the website sucks.

rashidae··on Ask HN: Would You Work for Elon?
I would definitely love the challenge!
rashidae··on Show HN: I built my own PM tool after trying Trello, Asana, ClickUp, etc.
When I saw “a project management suite for solos and small teams”, it made me go back and re-consider it under a new perspective. Loved it.

I will try it out soon! Good luck!

rashidae··on Integrating with Fastmail
Why is this better than sendgrid, a part from pricing?
rashidae··on Launch HN: Promoted (YC W21) - Search and feed ranking for marketplaces
I love the problem you're aiming to solve with your API. In what stage would you suggest a marketplace startup to hire you? How many listings?
