rammy1234··on Hang on to Your Firefox
somehow this little content made me to set default browser to Firefox on mac. I am so easy get convinced. I dont know what problems Firefox has, why firefox not improving developer experience, focusing on building new products, making it light weight and performant. But I am going to try again after 2 years. Its going to be amazing.
rammy1234··on Atomic Clocks
I wish we had books for kids at school that explains in this fashion. Even a beginner can grasp the idea behind it and dive deeper if interested. Loved it.
rammy1234··on Yes... and...
agreed and One thing resonated for me in this article was code reading would be great skill to have. reading a lot and thinking a lot will help drive AI to the destination effectively.
rammy1234··on How to talk to anyone and why you should
I always start a convo with a question, " what is exciting in your life?" - it brings out good things out of people and positivity to the conversation that is following... It brings in perspective. My past leader once said, "understand the people first before you start to work with them"... it is what I believe is missing.. trying to learn about people around us and sometimes taking a chance and strike a conversation with a stranger.. we will learn a great deal even from a small talk..
rammy1234··on I miss thinking hard
Great article. Moment I finished reading this article, I thought of my time in solving a UI menu problem with lot of items in it and algorithm I came up with to solve for different screen sizes. It took solid 2 hrs of walking and thinking. I still remember how I was excited when I had the feeling of cracking the problem. Deep thinking is something everyone has it within and it varies how fast you can think. But we all got it with right environment and time we all got it in us. But thats long time ago. Now I always off load some thinking to AI. it comes up with options and you just have to steer it. By time it is getting better. Just ask it you know. But I feel like it is good old days to think deep by yourself. Now I have a partner in AI to think along with me. Great article.
rammy1234··on I'm addicted to being useful
One of thing I have noticed of good software engineers is while they are trying to solve problems, they also communicate with clarity to upper management chain. The clarity they bring to the table was always appreciated and also puts them in the career growth path easily.

rammy1234··on Cowork: Claude Code for the rest of your work
Would take back my lame comment above. though my intent was to probe, I could have done better. I agree it was comical on how I came across.
rammy1234··on Cowork: Claude Code for the rest of your work
Not knowing what's your workflow, Wouldnt this be possible in future for cowork, to read the financial documents and derive insights and build reports and you build your workflow ?
rammy1234··on Agentic Patterns
I find it interesting that we already have patterns established, while agentic approach is still being adopted in various industries in varying maturity.

The definition of “native Brit” is vague — by ancestry? birthplace? passport? Seems like a rhetorical choice.

I missed title to be "how relevant is java in world of AI"
rammy1234··on Show HN: Workflow Use – Deterministic, self-healing browser automation (RPA 2.0)
seems similar to selenium plugin for firefox, minus the scripting it generates.
rammy1234··on Why Blog If Nobody Reads It?
My blog offers nothing new - https://lazydevstories.com/

But I still write. I want to read or research some topics myself and consolidate all my readings in a blog post, clarifies few things for me.

1. It tells me structurally what I understood

2. It creates a structure in my mind for that topic that stays a long time

3. Gives me a place to go back when I want to

4. Sometimes explaining a concept is hard and I would like to write and with some pictures it could mean reader understands my depth of knowledge, and it also clarifies my gap in my knowledge.

5. simply writing is a joy.

rammy1234··on Durable execution should be lightweight
My reaction is "No way, not again !!". I personally done this internal orchestration at scale at a large enterprise spanning millions of execution and it has scalability problem. we eventually externalized it to bring back sanity.
rammy1234··on The quiet art of attention
Focus , one I am struggling with recently, central theme and I read this at right time. Thank you for writing this
rammy1234··on Anti-patterns in event-driven architecture
My 2 cents - There is no anti-pattern specific to event driven. It is essentially asynchronous nature. It means you start with understanding the business needs and SLA. Question often comes in my experience is "can they wait?" and what's the risk of dirty data or data fetched with delay ( worst case ). event driven is always about worst case scenario and will it work then.

rammy1234··on Architecture diagrams enable better conversations
for C4 structurizr is the best so far I know. I use that for landscape , container diagrams. I got feedbacks that even CIOs are able to get the picture easy. If they have some ways to produce better layouts for large landscape it would be awesome.
