rajma··on MacBook Air with M5
You think they will skip M4 ultra? May be they slowly plan to launch ultra chips alternate years since the development costs are high and demand is niche.

If they do a 1TB m5 ultra, I too would be configuring one for sure.

rajma··on MacBook Pro with M5 Pro and M5 Max
M1 pro MacBook pro here as well. Just today I was thinking I have no need to upgrade until M7 and by then maybe even MacBook Air would do. Especially since I will have my home server (dgx spark) available for anything serious anyway. So excited for the Mac studio configs though. M5 ultra 1TB would be a huge leap for serious home server builders.
rajma··on Show HN: StewReads – Turn Claude chats into Kindle ebooks
Over past year, I have realized (and accepted) two things: - I do actually learn from AI chatbots. - Chat interface is very hard to focus, I cannot go back to a useful chat from the past and reread it to revise the topic I learnt from it

To solve this, I created StewReads MCP server which instructs Claude to generate a nicely formatted ebook based on the chat. Now, when I feel I have learned something from a chat, I simply invoke the `stew` prompt and have the ebook on my Kindle device and app in minutes. Works well with claude.ai, Claude Desktop app and Cowork. You can also try it by sending ebook to your email if you dont want to setup Kindle yet.

Looking forward to your comments and suggestions. Happy Stewing!

rajma··on My Opinion on Blockchain
The biggest hypocrisy about the Crypto space to me is the fact that no one is asking Coinbase to issue ICO instead of listing on Nasdaq. Why?

All Coinbase does is Crypto trading and all CB investors/users are crypto bulls. Just list it as an ICO and be done with it. Lead by example!

rajma··on My Opinion on Blockchain
Your response is as rhetoric as the rhetoric opinions you are mocking.

It is not trivial to think that a $600B asset that cannot be touched or used to buy daily groceries for majority of population is "useful" or taken seriously. This has never happened in our history, people will take time to adjust.

Also, some of the questions being raised are absolutely worth listening to and responding by either an explanation or changing the blockchain logic. High energy consumption, taxation, inflationary vs deflationary crypto, block sizes, abysmal transacction rates, Central bank crypto, moving BTC on Ethereum, etc are all questions worth thinking about.

rajma··on Google, Apple cave to Pakistan pressure to take down apps by Ahmadiyya Muslims
You have to be living in a free country to say that.

Indian government banned internet from Kashmir overnight without any notice. Most journos who say anything negative against gov are jailed without any court hearing.

I am all for pushing Google and Apple to change their stance on authoritarian governments. In this case, the ban is a direct result of gov censuring too.
