rahulvohra··on Superhuman for Android
We've been working super hard to bring Superhuman to every platform. We started with Gmail, on the web. We then added macOS, followed by iOS. Last year we launched Outlook, and earlier this year we launched Windows. Today, we are launching Superhuman for Android.

We've now built an email client from scratch several times over, with an emphasis on performance each time. Many mistakes made and lessons learned along the way. AMA!

rahulvohra··on Superhuman and the Productivity Meta-Layer
I can attest that the "infinite slog" thing is at least partially true :P

This is why, incidentally, that in productivity you need to raise surprising amounts of money. (Or grow revenue super fast, if you can. But then you'll raise a surprising amount of money anyway.)

rahulvohra··on I Am Sam Altman, President of Y Combinator. AMA
Since Jason gets a lot of flak (not that he cares):

Jason was one of the first and most helpful investors in Rapportive (YCS10, acq LinkedIn). He believed in us when there was no obvious reason to.

Jason was one of the first investors I went back to for Superhuman. (He negotiated hard, but then so do I — that's just part of each side getting what they want.)

I'd work with Jason again in a heartbeat for my next company.

rahulvohra··on Intro for iPhone – No Longer Supported
I hear you dan. Let me see what I can do.
rahulvohra··on Phishing with Linkedin's Intro
If by ads you mean the signature (that is 90% your photo, name, and occupation), then you can turn this off. It's completely optional.
rahulvohra··on Phishing with Linkedin's Intro
Thanks for the level headed comment! The LI signature is totally optional by the way: you can turn it off.
rahulvohra··on LinkedIn Intro: Doing the Impossible on iOS
There are good ways to remove 95%+ of the content even if you forward/reply from a different account. We'll talk about this in an upcoming post.

Awesome work! I remember this way back when :)

Wow, this is cool :)

Mind if I add a link to it from the post?

Congrats guys. I miss our Lockitron :)
rahulvohra··on How to Model Viral Growth: The Hybrid Model
I plan to build up to a relatively complex model that hopefully you'll find useful or interesting.

Here's my intended sequence: for the next post, I'll model retention as a simple loss rate. After that I'll model retention with a curve over time. And after that I'll model the viral factor itself as a curve over time.

Is there something in particular you think it'd be interesting to cover?

rahulvohra··on Announcing K9 Ventures II – A $40M technology-focused micro-VC fund
Awesome. I remember discussing Rapportive with Manu back when we started and although we didn't end up working together (maybe he didn't want too many companies that would sell to LinkedIn :p ?), the quality of his insights was off the charts.
rahulvohra··on Rapportive (YC S10) Has Been Acquired By LinkedIn
Hello Luke, and thank you! Can't wait to be there :)
rahulvohra··on Rapportive (YC S10) Has Been Acquired By LinkedIn
thanks Diego! looking forward to it, to put it mildly :)
rahulvohra··on Rapportive (YC S10) Has Been Acquired By LinkedIn
Not sure I understand what you mean by the difference?
rahulvohra··on Rapportive (YC S10) Has Been Acquired By LinkedIn
Make you brilliant with people — as simple as ;)
rahulvohra··on Gmail and Contacts get better with Google+
Nope, we're still here :)
rahulvohra··on Get early access to the Rapportive UI when composing emails
"Also, on Reply, there's an alignment problem with the Share Rapportive link up top"

Can you please send me a screenshot of this? rahul@rapportive.com

"Though, can you use the emails to check via LinkedIn or something"

Yes, we can make very intelligent guesses on what your emails are, but we haven't yet got round to doing it :)

ps. if you haven't seen it already, do checkout http://rapportive.com/feedback — it's where a lot of brainstorming goes down

rahulvohra··on Get early access to the Rapportive UI when composing emails
You can change who Rapportive shows by typing email addresses in the To: field and cousins, and by hovering over email addresses or names in subject lines.

Maybe we should tune things so we show your own profile less.

Monetisation will be done by freemium features, and will happen soon (those features are entering ß now). What you currently use will remain free :)

Edit: I just reread your comment and realised I misunderstood. To stop your own emails showing up when you reply, please claim your email addresses: http://blog.rapportive.com/claim-your-email-addresses — does that help?

rahulvohra··on Get early access to the Rapportive UI when composing emails
Do you mean an UI level integration, or actually putting the data in contacts?
