quirkafleeg3··on Ask HN: I lost my job
AEAB (all employers are bastards)
quirkafleeg3··on A video game that lets you make video games
my problem with dreams is that someones time would be better spend learning a proper game engine like unreal or unity
quirkafleeg3··on Santa Cruz decriminalizes psychedelic mushrooms
To quote Gene Hunt from Life on Mars: "Drugs eh, what's the point? They make you talk funny, they make you walk funny, they make you see things that aren't there. My nan got all that for free when she had a stroke."

In all seriousness, I think people who use drugs like this have something missing in their life. Instead of getting hopped up on mushrooms, why not look at your life and work out what you are using mushrooms as a subsitute for.

quirkafleeg3··on Terry Jones has died
cant tell if you dont get the joke, or if i dont get your joke
quirkafleeg3··on Grindr and OkCupid Spread Personal Details, Study Says
They both make money from premium memberships that give extra functionality and features. Remember kids, collecting and selling data is never okie dokie.
quirkafleeg3··on The harmful effects of social media
cursed boomer sites
quirkafleeg3··on The voice of sadness is censored as sick. What if it’s sane?

quirkafleeg3··on Judge orders Google to turn over a full year of actor’s data
I'd be far more concerned about Google having my data in the first place...
quirkafleeg3··on Millennials Are Leaving Religion and Not Coming Back
Interestingly, I used to be irreligious, but about a year and a half ago fell on the path of druidry (druidry.org for reference) through a series of realisations. I've never looked back. I guess I'm a minority of my generation.
quirkafleeg3··on Why Bitcoin is guaranteed to be a crappy investment
Ah Cryptocurrencies. Like trading in bits of paper that say 'IOU some paperclips'.
quirkafleeg3··on My Job Interview at Google (2008)
> The questions were technical but not very challenging or difficult. So THATS why Google products are so consistantly shite...
quirkafleeg3··on Ask HN: Will games made in Unity3d be playable in 10/20 years?
Seems very unlikely that they will be unplayable. Built Unity games are just .exe files, where flash games are in a format that requires flash to run. In other words, unless the format of standard executable files changes, unity games will still be playable.
quirkafleeg3··on Why do you hate Facebook, Twitter, Instagram? Do you want to build your own?
I would rather they didn't exist than have them steal my data.
quirkafleeg3··on Why do customers love Tesla despite its many mistakes?
What I dont get is why people love Elon Musk. The man's a cock! He randomly accused someone of being a pedophile just because they said his rediculous submarine thing wouldn't work!
quirkafleeg3··on Why gaming is necessary for crypto adoption
Can we not cross gaming (a good thing) and cryptocurrencies (a very very bad thing)?
quirkafleeg3··on Open-source apps removed from Google Play Store due to donation links
And yet games with hundred dollar microtransactions stay up fine. It's almost as if Google turn a blind eye to that which makes them richer. oh wait, that's exactly what it's like. The bastards.
quirkafleeg3··on Psychology tells us why older people don’t enjoy new music
My issue is that many mainstream pop songs around now seems to have meaningless, lazy or silly lyrics.
quirkafleeg3··on Disney Bans Netflix Ads as Streaming’s Marketing Wars Intensify
Lots of people saying about moving away from regular TV to streaming, but it depends how I want to watch. Sometimes I want to select an episode and sit down to watch it properly, which streaming is good for. But sometimes normal TV fulfils my needs to drunkenly half-watch a random Top Gear.

quirkafleeg3··on Boris Johnson uses search terms in interviews to hide negative articles?
I've had this happen before, and it was just a little bit very creepy indeed, and did make me wonder.

quirkafleeg3··on I quit social media and now I want a cigarette
I've never had any issues with social media, and they key is making sure your feeds are pleasent. I make sure that the people I follow on twitter are people I like and people who post nice things, like fan art of franchises I like or jokes. I never follow people who post stuff about politics.
quirkafleeg3··on Millennials love Bitcoin, still don’t trust or understand it: survey
im a millennial who dispises bitcoin because i understand it perfectly. i think anyone who actually understands bitcoin would hate it.
quirkafleeg3··on [dead]
