Because there are numerous studies showing how "retirement" in the form of sitting around doing nothing shortens the length and quality of your remaining years.
Positive in general. Just two annoyances. First not being to able put the task bar on the side any longer and second (more annoying) not being able to drag a document into an app that's running on the taskbar and open it.
Maintain low muscle mass? Er no strength training has many benefits including helping to maintain bone mass but also losing muscle mass as we age leads to feebleness and all the negative consequences of that. That doesn't mean pumping iron and taking steroids but just maintaining a decent level of strength.
Or they do nothing? What exactly do you want? Most people I've spoken to in tech view it positively. But I guess people have to moan about everything these days.

Do you drink alcohol? If so you're a drug user... We've just decided for myriad, commercial, political and historical reasons to legitimise some and make others illegal. Note I never used the word "scientific" in that sentence.
While no doubt RAS exists everywhere I suspect it's worse in the US than most other developed countries. We drum into everyone from an early age that success is measured in material terms, the size of your bank account, car, house etc is all that matters. Certainly it's more here than any other country I've been to.
Be great if they could put the same effort into their UX. Pretty much every person I know that uses GH loathes the UI from a usability standpoint. It's a perfect example of something designed by engineers.
