qikInNdOutReply··on Adobe Firefly: AI Art Generator
Public domain content. So if i host a large cluster of AI generated lighthouses that slightly look like cocksOnTheRocks, Firefly will suggest that after crawling and retraining?

What a time to be alive.

qikInNdOutReply··on Hyundai promises to keep buttons in cars
Can we have both? Magnetic adhering buttons to touch screens? Could even make the touch screen configureable, so its something new for every driver and different in every car. If you are a UX designer. How did we get here?

qikInNdOutReply··on Hundreds of Thousands of Iraqis Were Killed in the War. One Was My Brother
Well, compared to the alternatives that go around, dressed up in nice propaganda but horrific beneath.. they still kind of are even though heavily deformed by 70 years of empire.
qikInNdOutReply··on Louis Rossmann could sue John Deere for GPL violation [video]
Yes. Why not have a texeditor for a config save file in the radio?
qikInNdOutReply··on Hundreds of Thousands of Iraqis Were Killed in the War. One Was My Brother
Im saying, that the structure of empire, does not give a damn about the values, it corrupts all, infiltrates all, from the highest king to the lowest peasant, the mindset starts to differ, the values start to differ, the processes start to devolve and dissolve, turning a democratic process of searching for compromise into a partisan war of conquest. The outcome is the same, but one struggles against it and the other embraces it to the fullest as the natural order of things.

The dosage makes a thing a poison, but this beast can not be dosaged, as the lack of self-control is in its very heart.

qikInNdOutReply··on Unchecked corporate pricing power is a factor in US inflation
Duo or oligopolies would be nice to have. We have monopolies, at the owner layer. That they own several buisnesses in the same sector, to placate monopoly regulations, does not reduce the lack of competition.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BlackRock

Im continously suprised that people, by assumption of brands and company names assume we still have duopolies or oligopolies.

You can own a whole industry sector without mergers and funny make pretend competition. The competition may hold true for software, because its such a young sector, but for everything else...

qikInNdOutReply··on Zero-1-to-3: Zero-shot One Image to 3D Object
What happens, if you build a circle? As in this creates a 3d object from a image and another ai creates a image from a 3d object?

And come to think of it, that rail system could fit anywhere.. have old AC ducts? Rail Storage. High Rooms? Rail Storage behind a drop ceiling! Garagespace? But rails on a rack..

Have rubys in a mine? Goto put it on rails. Idea runaway exception thrown..

qikInNdOutReply··on Vallejo CA police shared data in violation of state law, watchdog says
Well at least, they have uniform clothing and the gang signs promise the ilusion of protection.

To be honest, the mob as alternative does not seem so bad. Vote Uncle Enzo for Vallejo Police.

qikInNdOutReply··on Clifford Stoll beat the Russians, then made useless, wondrous objects (2016)
The longer i think about projects such as this, the more convinced i am that a small rail system such as it is for hollywood, and little wagons with containers would be ideal for such a house storage space. Just one motor and a linear distance index and you can turn that space into a storage on rail.
qikInNdOutReply··on Cyclists now outnumber motorists in City of London
Then why does it not work in the us?
qikInNdOutReply··on Supreme Court asked to strike down immunity for police who brutally beat student
Because qualified imunity and seizure of property worked so well for other areas of the planet like africa and the old robber empires of europe.
qikInNdOutReply··on Cyclists now outnumber motorists in City of London
A start for that would be investors legislating for building codes to be suspended in a new development area completely, allowing for mixed development. Then make a investment into public transport towards the area taxfree.
qikInNdOutReply··on Cyclists now outnumber motorists in City of London
I wonder, why there is not dealds between land speculation and public transportation. One party buys fields from farmers, the other creates a privately financed railroad/subway out in the "new suburbs", shooting the areas value through the roof. Then build denser, better citycore, connected to the old citycore.
qikInNdOutReply··on More students are turning away from college and toward apprenticeships
Stupid question, obvious question: Why not both? Why cant i learn a trade and then study, then have a half-half position?

Is that a caste violation? To have something physical and switch to something mental midweek?

qikInNdOutReply··on Cyclists now outnumber motorists in City of London
Its fascinating, that even such a entrenched industry such as the car industry, can be banned from urban centers. There is hope for change yet.
qikInNdOutReply··on Analyzing a failed drill bit with an electron microscope [video]
How are these 360 degrees test setups called, that use two current probes to determinate the electric resistance in an object from point to point?

That could have been interesting non-destructive scan with microfractured elements like this drill. They had them at uni. They had a third wire to ground after the test and some strange holding grip to prevent the whole setup from becoming a capacitor. One run took hours and you needed the 3d model of the object and thorough cleaning and sometimes sanding of the surface.

qikInNdOutReply··on ChatGPT is Down
Imagine a world, were things can be smart depending on the availability of the grid, meaning power, servers and software. On bad days, your house and car are retarded, on good days, you just never notice it.

qikInNdOutReply··on Leaving China
Imagine if the ccp had dissolved itself, by becoming just the political framework, the shanghai clique, the traditionalists, becoming parties within the party and the legal system having a say in party inner affairs.

Imagine all those who are trampled today by that caste system in china having a chance to shine. All those brilliance we will never see, cause it gets censored to dust by old bureaucrats could shine. 1 generation from now, china could have been culture wise something similar to japan or south korea.

Instead we got this. The old errors, of walling oneself off from a percieved "hostile" outside world, of thinking one could be stand alone and the lack of seeing the need to change, to get away from the "conquer nature" mindset to a more symbiotic view of things.

Its so sad. We had a glimpse, of what could be, but then it was back to the old imperial gameboard and the people turned back into figurines.

qikInNdOutReply··on Pornhub Owner MindGeek Sold to Canada's Ethical Capital
Thus we get to see a new form of company structure.

The shell company as ablative material. You recreate new companies, which then "buy" the shunned buisness, while the old company is dissolved the new "hull" takes the fire and is then sold on to the next, new hull. Rinse and repeat till heat death or protestant ethics accepting sex-work as a normal part of human behaviour.
