37signals Backpack. http://backpackit.com/

For more information read this article: http://patrickrhone.com/2006/06/27/backpack-new-gtd-implemen...

qeek··on Hacker News and Information Overload
I have noticed the same thing and wholeheartedly agree with you.

Simple solution: categories with separate feeds.

qeek··on Turning off the distracting parts of the Internet
There is already a Mac app that does this (and you choose which sites to block)

qeek··on Ask HN: Trivial etiquette question - can he touch my laptop screen?
I told you homeboy U can't touch this

(...)

Look in my eyes, man U can't touch this

qeek··on Design HN: How many designers read HN?
I'm a web designer. I usually skip the programming news, but still come here to read about other topics. There's a bunch of smart people here.
qeek··on [dead]
Oh please, I didn't add Hacker News to my feed reader to get articles from Zen Habits.
qeek··on Making Yourself Likable
It reminded me of a conversation I had a few months ago:

Buddy: I did bungee jumping last summer, did you know?

Me: "umm... all right?"

...

uncomfortable silence

Faking enthusiasm is something I find very difficult to do, but I guess I should at least start trying.

Also, how to stop assuming that other people are not sincere when they show interest to me?

qeek··on How to Network: 12 Tips for Geeks
Not all geeks are shy (even though the author seems to think so). Still, these tips can be useful for everybody who wants to improve his/her networking skills.
qeek··on ICombinator - Hacker News for the iPhone
Now it's time to redesign the actual Hacker News site.
qeek··on Do you read?
Not really. Not proud of it, but I just don't see that much value in reading. It seems like a waste of time to me. I'd rather use that time to get more done.

I might start reading about web design and related topics, since that's what I do and I could probably learn a lot from this kind of books, but honestly I'm not interested in reading fiction at all.

Maybe it because of all those boring books I was forced to read as a kid at school.

qeek··on Poll: How many hours of sleep do you get each day?
I suffer from delayed sleep phase syndrome, which means I usually get around 3-5 hours of sleep while I need at least 8 to function properly. And I often fail to get up at a desired time.

Too bad there is no quick remedy for this.

qeek··on Ask YC: What's your day job?
Web designer & front-end developer at a startup.
qeek··on 37signals to Drop IE6 Support
How I wish I could do that as well.
qeek··on Ask YC: What do you use for time and todo tracking?
You might want to try Comindwork, which we currently use at our startup. It's not that it's perfect, but it has all the important functionality and looks pretty decent. You can register a free account for testing purposes (1 project, unlimited users, 100mb storage).
qeek··on Study proves bad guys really do get the most girls
Any tips on becoming a bad guy? :)
qeek··on Ask YC: How do you avoid wasting too much time online?
use this wallpaper:

tested, works perfectly!

qeek··on Ask YC: What methods do you use to manage your time?
There is a plenty of good web applications for this. I use OrchestrateHQ for to-do lists, 30 Boxes as a calendar and 37signals' Backpack for notes.
