q8zd3··on Startup Anti-Patterns
I don't see how it's a bad choice on its own merit. Lang choice will always be a mixture of familiarity (team or individual) and niche problem needs (some edge cases need specific tools).

I personally avoid to touch anything that is nodejs related because I do not trust its ecosystem (npms).

Couldn't this be used by Anthropic to measure the usage of its product?

It's kinda funny to read a headline like this in 2026

I do not disagree with you, but I think they will try to do it anyway
q8zd3··on Mark Zuckerberg had a bold plan to replace Meta staff with AI
It's coming for us all.. sooner or later.
q8zd3··on Nitter and XCancel receive cease and desist notices
Verified profiles get money based on engagement rate of their posts, only from other verified profiles; I don't think I need to tell you the quality of said posts, AI slop included.

They are literally getting money (not making) without producing anything and that aligns with Elon's world view of a jobless civilization driven by AI and robots.

Wow, I did not know about this one. Imagine if every country goes this route, and then there is a direct integration between central banks?
q8zd3··on On AI regulation and messaging
LLM providers get a free pass for anything these days, unfortunately

A miserable pile of requirements!
q8zd3··on Cloudflare OS: an open platform for agents, apps, and work
I see a Linux distro as a "integration project", which delivers several software pieces glued together that work in harmony, which includes "OS pieces" such as the Linux kernel.
q8zd3··on Cloudflare OS: an open platform for agents, apps, and work
Why do people add "OS" to their product/project name when it is not an OS at all?

Always funny to see how some LLM providers get a "free pass" nowadays..
q8zd3··on Netflix employee fired for sharing personal details in retreat trust exercise
Bad move. Those corporate events serve the purpose to find "bad apples" (from the employer's perspective), to either shape you into what they want or cut you off.

Never sacrifice your privacy in such an environment.

Those people really believe in the idea of a "technological republic", heh.
q8zd3··on Codeberg Bans Cryptocurrency Projects
Is that criteria clear in their platform?
q8zd3··on Codeberg Bans Cryptocurrency Projects
Oh well, that is disappointing. I was enjoying it for my own side projects. I wonder what's next on their list...
q8zd3··on China's open-weights AI strategy is winning
The article's premise is that USA based LLM providers are losing the AI (cold war) battle because it will not be as adopted as open-weight models, comparing it to closed vs open sourced software. I do not think this is the case because:

* The comparison is weird because open-weight is not the same as open-source software to begin with;

* People based in the USA are at an advantaged position since they have access to both american and chinese models;

* Isn't Running your own model training infrastructure more expansive?

* One can still leverage both, in different phases or use-cases. I do not see how this is an "one or the other" situation.

q8zd3··on China's open-weights AI strategy is winning
openstack vs aws/azure/gcp/... would make more sense.
q8zd3··on Evidence of inconsistencies in evaluation process and selection of winners
AI was the nail in the coffin. Hackathons were killed by business people and "startup culture".

q8zd3··on The great digital fatigue: How digital burnout is changing social media use

Well, because it is. Social media turned most of its users into digital beggars.
