the only thing that helped the last few years was to uninstall the browser extension. it means i have to log in to the website if I want to add something and I only go through all that hassle if i 'really' want to read it later
im thinking i might set up wallabag soon and jailbreak my kindle because I think I might have a better chance of reading them there
if the idea of having a flip phone is so that you will be less distracted then maybe a flip case might help to do something similar. preferably one that has really loud velcro so that people around you will get pissed if you keeping opening it every 2nd minute to look at facecheck
i should really just be hitting the spacebar but you know, old habits
even socks will last a lot longer if you just quickly wash your feet every morning or twice a day if you have the time
- before you leave anything in the sink, quickly rinse it if there is anything on it that will go hard
- washing with gloves on is easier since you can have the water boiling hot which means in turn does most of the work
- or install a double sink. leave things soak in 1 sink so most stuff will just fall off, then in most cases all you have left to do is rinse it
- if there is still some gunk left on them then one of those jet taps would help
- if you need more than one box. will you still have a single box 10 years from now or will it be 2? good luck trying to retrieve something in 20 years when you have even more boxes
- it only takes 1 fire or flood to destroy all of your documents. once they are digital you can easily make copies and store them in a few different locations
tbh making digital copies isnt that complicated compared to throwing something in a box. i just scan everything into a year/month folder and do as you do... worry about finding them later. spending time tagging or naming stuff after theyve been digitised is optional.
less distractions as well depending on when you were a teenager
- some channels or website tend to favour quantity over quality since they can get more ad revenue that way
- podcasts are generally more professional. not like youtube where its common to find 10 minutes of some person rambling to make a point that should have only taken 2
- you can fit in podcasts/audiobooks while you do other things, driving, doing chores etc.
if you have to watch something then just limit yourself to watching this one until you get the idea: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BOksW_NabEk
you can use the "user:" search operator + the name of the topic to filter your repos and then just bookmark the searches that youll be using often. its better than nothing for now
anyway, from what i can tell, cerebro is able to show you a lot more things and also has plugins. keypirinha just shows basic things like files and apps i think

theres really no need to make a separate extension for every website, unless you are trying to make a statement
