pylua··on Americans Have Grown Dramatically Anti-Data Center
Even for wind or solar ?
pylua··on Americans Have Grown Dramatically Anti-Data Center
I agree with this, and it really exposes how two faced and scandalous these companies are.

They all love green energy, but will they use that for their data centers in your backyard?

Rules for the and not for me !

pylua··on Americans Have Grown Dramatically Anti-Data Center
I’m not against data centers, but they need to come with their own clean power supply, and export minimal pollution to its neighbors .

If you can’t provide that it’s not worth the downsides for the community.

pylua··on Amazon scraps AI leaderboard to stop workers chasing usage scores
Do you think ai usage will decrease due to this change ?
pylua··on AI chatbots are giving out people's real phone numbers
Yeah, that is funny looking back. Books full of PII.

I always think when I send a work email I am also leaking my pii everywhere.

pylua··on Vibe coding and agentic engineering are getting closer than I'd like
Eventually I would bet on ai using its own non human readable languages (brains?) to program in to reduce overhead.

It will be a black box, and the code will be generated just in time by ai for each api request

pylua··on Amateur armed with ChatGPT solves an Erdős problem
Arguably, since everything resolves to an axiom, isn’t the solution in any training set ?

The order and combination is what makes it special.

Is current human information access methods wrong, or do we just synthesize data in a way that is inefficient for this sort of problem solving ?

pylua··on Amateur armed with ChatGPT solves an Erdős problem
If that’s the case, are you saying the proof was part of the training set?

A lot of novelty is just gluing approaches together and reporting what sticks.

pylua··on An AI agent deleted our production database. The agent's confession is below
I’m a little confused. Pocket is outsourced to railway, which ended up deleting their data ?

I do find the author to be completely negligent , unless railway has completely lied about the safety in their product.

pylua··on Tell HN: Do not include co-authored-by Claude in your commits
Are they practically doing this ?
pylua··on The cult of vibe coding is dogfooding run amok
I think someday it will be completely unreadable for humans. Ai will have its optimized form.
pylua··on Why the US Navy won't blast the Iranians and 'open' Strait of Hormuz
Cuba would be bombed off the map if that happened.
pylua··on Police used AI facial recognition to wrongly arrest TN woman for crimes in ND
There is an incentive . It’s called fraud by negligence. I’m hoping she sues everyone here.

That’s seems to be in the realm of poissibility here if I am understanding things correctly (imo)

pylua··on Young Graduates Face the Grimmest Job Market in Years
The amount of sentiment like this is scary. I’m not disagreeing with you but there isn’t a lot of optimism overall.
pylua··on Jury finds Meta liable in case over child sexual exploitation on its platforms
Yes google analyzes everything you upload to it and if it finds a violation will report to the proper gov agencies.

It is actually terrifying . If you write something out of context or upload an image out of context you can be in big trouble.

pylua··on Jury finds Meta liable in case over child sexual exploitation on its platforms
It does seem like it could potentially be used to enforce mass surveillance over the people of the United States
pylua··on Jury finds Meta liable in case over child sexual exploitation on its platforms
That's true, I didn't consider that
pylua··on Jury finds Meta liable in case over child sexual exploitation on its platforms
I’m actually okay with not letting under age people use e2e. I’m not okay with blocking everyone. I have 2 kids.
pylua··on GitHub is once again down
Front door did have a major outage last year.
pylua··on GitHub is once again down
Anyone else notice other Microsoft cloud services ( for instance inside azure ) with bad performance also?

I can’t be specific but we are constantly complaining.

pylua··on Reports of code's death are greatly exaggerated
Right, I haven’t used it but thought at a high level it can do that integration on the fly.

I also do a lot of software system to system and in the long run I feel like ai will solve this.

pylua··on The bridge to wealth is being pulled up with AI
Do you think people are happier now than they were in the 80s/90s/00s?

I don’t think so, at least not in the us. Granted I was younger during those times .

pylua··on Reports of code's death are greatly exaggerated
Isn’t this what mcp is supposed to solve?
pylua··on AI Added 'Basically Zero' to US Economic Growth Last Year, Goldman Sachs Says
Doesn’t this hurt the economy ?
pylua··on A16z partner says that the theory that we’ll vibe code everything is wrong
Is it the sla and maintenance cost ? As silly as it seems it is important for slack to work reliably, especially in case of court orders and legal retention.

Also Is there not a self hosted open source solution that companies can host ? That’s easier than ai?

pylua··on Palantir Gets Millions of Dollars from New York City's Public Hospitals
How is it guaranteed to be the same accuracy of data that is not retrieved through a warrant ?
pylua··on AI fatigue is real and nobody talks about it
What are you generating that the llm takes so long ? I usually prompt and review in small pieces.
pylua··on AI Can Write Your Code. It Can't Do Your Job
Yeah, but you can ask ai questions about it so you can understand it faster
pylua··on The only winning move is not to play
The reality is that shoddy work often wins out due to pricing.
pylua··on Trump demands unpaid air traffic controllers 'get back to work' as chaos worsens
