I was hoping this would explain my weight gain but I suppose I have to accept that replacing daily workouts with 3 bowls of ice cream and magic shell may be the culprit.

I was going to say this but figured it would be downvoted, post-haste.

Not to be snarky but aren't they censoring at home as well? Whatever you think of Alex Jones or whatever you think you think about him and his ilk, censoring speech is for the feeble minded and tyrannous. Let's leave thought policing to the politicians and the government.

Do you all have any resources for getting started with contract bidding? Where to see open contracts? What it takes to be considered, legitimately? Thanks.

I believe I know what you mean. I disagree. I have no experience being a billionaire, or a millionaire for that matter, however here are my casual observations and thoughts:

A billionaire cannot just quit a job. There must be a transition period. A billionaire can't just no call no show. It's possible, but it never happens.

A billionaire cannot travel to Europe like I can, going from Airbnb to airbnb, hopping in an Uber, surfing with the locals, enjoying fish tacos. A billionaire ends up being an ambassador with little privacy.

Immediately get appointments with great healthcare providers. Maybe. But so can I.

I reread it a few times. I reread it aloud. This is a new discipline.

This has been my experience, 100%.

All of the jobs I have ever interviewed for casually listed "great oral and written communication" as a skill in the job reqs. I have felt that I had a problem in this area.

I have worked as a remote contractor off and on for most of my life and have never run into an issue.

For the past year and a half I have been on a remote team.

It wasn't until my team lead, who did all of the oral and written communication, left, this past month, that I was placed in the position to pick where he left off.

It became immediately evident how poor my skills are in this area. I know that I am a poor communicator, but I didn't realize just how insufficient I was. Not only grammar and spelling, but conveying complex subject matter in a succinct way for folks lacking detailed domain knowledge. This is a problem!

Regardless, there is hope. How do you get better at writing? Write more. At least that is what I am told. I am now chomping at the bit for long-form writing opportunities to get experiencing it putting thoughts and plans on paper, as well as, using a new SaaS app to commit/tracking writing 5 minutes a day.

Any and all tips are welcome.

This new direction is backwards.

Pay the drivers what they are worth. How hard is that? Seriously. How hard is it to just give an honest wage for honest work?

Correction: Uber is passing the conscience and heart part onto its users so that it doesn't have to. Now I am going to feeling like jerk when I don't give someone a tip. That was my favorite part about uber. Don't make think about taxes and tip. How silly would it be if Uber was a restaurant? WashPo: "Restaurant shows magninimity by allowing patrons to supplement the low wages of the restaurant with a tip of their own!" Progress.

This looks, regrettably, similar to my own bookshelf. Look up "Tsundoku" -- it is what we suffer from. I now have a "Field Notes" planner that here I plan out what tech book I need to finish for the month, before I move on to fiction or other tech books.

The LPI is June-July.

We chose and have continued to use LiquidWeb because of an hn post 3 years ago. They are have wonderful to work with, very few hiccups.

Certainly it could have been. However, I asked the hiring manager for 5 days and he said that isn't a problem. If he had second thoughts about this, he could have communicated this to me. Again, its not worth dragging out, just a warning to others, as you said: it aint a done deal till its signed.
