pouzy··on What are you building over the holidays?
Rebuilding www.friendsvite.com with AngularJS instead of crappy Jquery. But I'll only work on it in the plane though, without a web connection. Makes it spicy.
pouzy··on Started a stupid company. Failed.
Did you see it coming ? You might have wanted to start searching for a job before losing the house. Don't think you are worth nothing, hang in there and get back on your feet in a more "normal" manner.
pouzy··on That's a fun trick Google
It feels like the upper management at Google switched from being a tech-oriented company to a money oriented company. It's always been an ad agency, but the products used to be great. Now I have a hard time using their products, and EVERY SINGLE product I'mn still using is from lesser quality than 2 years ago.

And google+ is not helping.

pouzy··on Nexus 5 Teardown
I've bought it the very first day, and it should arrive sometime tomorrow... I've always been disappointed in my Galaxy Nexus, so I'm really hoping that this one won't disappoint.

My hopes are pretty high though. And I thought the battery wasn't easily replacable, but that video tells the contrary. I'll see for myself I guess.

pouzy··on Are You A Typing Hacker? Prove It
Great game ! Reached level 23. There was a steep increase in difficulty at level 19, and I feel like I could do better but I work on an american keyboard and my personal one is in french.

It's taking the words from random news articles, right ? I had a feel each wave had a lot of words that fit together

pouzy··on I Bought An Apartment To Rent Out On Airbnb
50k for an appartment in LV ? That sounds way cheaper than I expected. Impressively cheaper. Would you consider making it your full income at that pace ?
pouzy··on Unlocked phones are the way to go
That's a lot of math, and it might work for most of the top-notch phones. I go google.com/nexus all the way because I know that I'll be able to use my phone anywhere (I'm french and live in the US). I've got a $30 no-contract sim-card only plan on T-mobile, with unlimited data and use Google voice for my calls. I don't think it's beatable (price wise. Quality wise it is.) it you want a last-gen smartphone.
pouzy··on Hacker News was down
It actually DoSed a small VPS I had protected behind it. Not sure how, I guess it was scraping for content a bit too fast but my site ended up being more available without cloudflare on top of it
pouzy··on Hacker News was down
store.apple.com ? You shop apple products every day ? Wow.
pouzy··on /dev/null as a Service
If you don't let Google read my data, I'm ready for the 5k/y
pouzy··on How I went from idea to product (with paying customers) in 7 days
Great way of thinking and building the product in a very lean fashion ! My biggest issue would be : why would people pay to subscribe to a newsletter ? Do you have specific use cases ? (I guess that letter.ly closed for a reason?) I'm sure that spending a week to build it and see if people would use it is one of the best ways to answer that question though. I'm just wondering what you, as a developer, think.
pouzy··on Pure CSS3 dancing Bender
This must be what CSS3 has been invented for. I can die in peace now.
pouzy··on Introducing government.github.com
This is a pretty ironic timing considering the fact that there's no government in the US for now :)
pouzy··on There's a .00006% Chance of Building a Billion Dollar Company
I'm not sure that we can compare that to having a chance to win the lottery or get struck by lightening. There's a bit more than just luck in the whole equation, but luck is definitely a factor
pouzy··on iMessage for Android
Has Apple already striked ? "We're sorry, the requested URL was not found on this server."
pouzy··on Scroll This
Cute indeed, but not sure that it's the right era anymore for jelly-looking things ?
pouzy··on Your protestations about “literally” are literally wrong
Makes me think about "Archer", they make a pretty good use of using it wrong.
pouzy··on Breaking down Amazon's mega dropdown
That's where you understand that attention to detail is pretty darn important. Hats off for pointing this out sir.
pouzy··on How PHP ruined my life as a software developer
I have been moving towards new horizons for quite a while now, which made me realize where my issues came from. So yes, there is hope ! :)
