GDPR didn't really work out that way, everybody still tries to collect and sell as much data as possible, only with more clicks. But that's besides the point.

To be honest I also don't see the point of the EU blocks, as you say. I assumed it was mostly just lazyness and unwillingness to deal with the issue at all.

School is being paid for, even in the US, I think? Just keep your head down, do your homework, don't do drugs, don't get in trouble, and your odds for escaping poverty are probably quite good.

That's why you should stick to Bitcoin, not Ethereum. While I find the problems and musings of the Ethereum crew fascinating, I have started to wonder if it is the crypto equivalent to a planning economy: they'll just add patch after patch to fix thing that are not fixable, making the system more and more complicated.

I understand Bitcoin (in principle), it is not that hard to understand. I don't understand most of Ethereum.

Where, how?

Sure, but I don't think most rich people think poor people have just the same choices. That's not implied when they think choices make people poor.

I miss the part where they show that the rich people's "choice mindset" is wrong? Are we just going to accept at face value that poor people have no choices whatsoever and are simply victims of society (and of course capitalism, I guess)? To me, that sounds a lot like religion.

Of course you can not assume that everybody could be equally rich, and only their choices are to blame if they are not. But the other extreme, that people are just born to be poor no matter what choices they make, is equally silly.

What if the "I have no choice" mindest of poor people is partly to blame for their predicament?
